In the FFL Im managing I shelled out the $40 for our trophy just to make sure it gets done, Im hoping to recoup 95% of that from our league members

That seems kinda s**** to me. But how much are we talking to have these things engraved? You're probably going to be looking at around $10 for shipping. If engraving is another $10-15 then I don't see why the winner should have to foot that bill.
He's gonna be getting $300 in the pot. He can afford it.

Yea most the places you order from can engrave that logo on the main plate. That would be a solid idea. We need it put thru the paces on Photoshop to be able to send it in tho

Yea that's the only downfall.
What if we just upped the league dues to 27 dollars. Use that 24 dollars extra for shipping and engraving.

I'm not crazy about it for the same reason. I could see people getting lazy with the engraving/shipping and it being an issue.
That said, I'm totally down for whatever everyone else wants to do.
Oh okay, I didn't realize this was a "winner takes all" deal. I guess I was confusing it with another league I'm in where 1st, 2nd, and 3rd all get paid. I was just thinking it's crappy for the overall winner to have to foot that bill while 2nd and 3rd place just get their money outright.
