SUMMARY: With TEs Erron Kinney and Bo Scaife out with injuries, second-year TE Gregg Guenther is getting more opportunities to show his athletic ability. The 6-foot-8, 255 pounder is trying to make the most of the extra work. "It just gives me more of a chance to showcase my skills and show what I can do," Guenther said. "With Erron and Bo down, it's just me, Ben and J.P. (Petrowski). We have no choice. We're going to get a majority of the reps. There's enough work for all of us, and we can all use it to get ready for the season." OC Norm Chow thinks Guenther will only improve. "Gregg Guenther is a tremendous athlete, and he showed that last year when he came in at the last second as a free agent," said Chow. "He has the ability to make catches. He knows the offense and understands the offense. So he's a very important part of what we're doing."

is it the goal of the media to write an article on every player in the titans camp?

but damn 6`8 is huge. Rivals the great Teyo Johnson.

Fan interest is high right now and everyone is taking advantage of it. The traffic to this site right now is about double what it was before camp opened.

Now we all know that is the will of The Chosen One :brow:

Dont get me wrong, it is interesting, there is just an influx of them in a very short time. Hope they are getting paid OT.
I bet SK is bugging the Tennessean and Nashville City Paper for an O.J Small article. :ha:

I have always like Guenther. He impressed me last pre season. If something ever came of that Erron Kinney Trade I would feel comfortable with Guenther as our third TE.

The problem is Guenther is still a liability in the run game. Guenther was a real nice pickup out of nowhere thanks to Chow.

Went to training camp this AM...

I really like watching Guenther catch the ball... he seems to have outstanding hands... I don't know what he can do after the catch, but the important thing is he Catches the ball....

On the reverse, however, Calico looked 'almost' bad... drops and just not going after the ball..... and either Woolfolk is really improving or he just needs to cover Calico all the time!

Volek wasn't really sharp IMO today... but I tell you who was! ;) ......

VY really impressed me with his throws! Who cares about arm release, he is tall enough that he releases the ball at the same level or higher than Volek, and WoW is he accurate! The best part was that the ball was always in the best spot for the receiver and ONLY the receiver to make a play! Call me impressed! :brow:

Some assumed he would be a bad blocker because of his height. But he didn't look bad to me from what little we saw last year. Looked pretty good catching the ball. Of course it wasn't a lot to go by, but I thought he could have been about as good as you'd need for a #3 TE if Erron was gone (traded, or hurt....again).

I'm looking forward to seeing him again. Also can't wait to see the new FB, Hall.
