Ryan, the same was thought about Toby Macguire as Spiderman. I found him believable.
Also, that means two leading roles played by young actors with dumb names. :ha:

Gunny, David Banner is The Hulk

It is Bruce Banner.

I also prefer Spiderman to Superman as a character, no doubt. Superman is too close to perfect. But that's not to say he doesn't get challenged. They throw the biggest, deadliest villians at him to balance it out. I don't generally see any of Spiderman's villians being a threat like many of Superman's.

I'm more interested in the pirate movie. But if superman keeps water from aquaman and steels ironman's girlfriend, I'll take a look. I'd love to see a dark side.

I think you can relate to 'em because of Clark Kent. He's nobody when he's Clark. And nobody even knows he exists, but when he's superman, everybody loves him. That's a real issue right there. I think his story is similar to all the other superhero's. The only difference is that his powers are so much greater it is hard to root for him. And he's certianly not as connected to his villians as spiderman is. Since spidey seems to create all of his. That's fun. But overall his story has some play. You just have to remember that in the 70's and 80's nobody was ready for that kind of story. It'll be up to the movie makers of today to tackle his issues. I think someone will be able to do it.

My personal favorite hero is the flash, but I dunno how you make a movie out of that. Would be really hard to do well.

Superman... no, i just can´t stand superheros that wear their slips OVER their pants. Thank god superhero fashion has changed. And no more capes, they are just for the bad guys.

I think Peter Parker was lot better because it did help out even though the media and most people where against him. He also struggled to get going in life, not to talk about his personal life. So, even though he had awesome powers u still pity him.

And flying just makes the characters... out of our reality. So, no flying for spidey.

Batman wears a cape.

WORD!

The other thing about flying is that it makes Superman look really dumb when he has to stop and "hover". And are the arms thrust forward really necessary?

I can't believe flying is out of reality, but someone who can shoot spiderwebs from his wrist, or someone who can fight blind, someone who can change into a green monster isn't.

Batman cape was disguised or tried to resemble of batwings rather than a cape

The thing different about spidey or bruce banner is that, at least, they sort of explain (ok the tipical lame "radiocativity changed me!") why. But with super man... voiala, the guy can fly, but it is not because he is not affected by gravity, no (he will most the time float then), is just that he thrust himself with the power of his will because he is not human.

Also, not being human, makes him... less human?

From all superpowers available, i think a guy flying makes it, i dont know, "weird"...

Maybe it has to do something with me watching also this

The thing with Superman is that he is pretty much indestructable and has everything, escept one weakness which is krpytonite.

Batman, Spiderman etc are not superman in the sense they can be killed by a bullet, they dont run fast etc and they are vunerable.

But like I said before, that's why they give him all the toughest enemies. Who else is facing Darkseid? Or Doomsday? Or Brainiac?

Plus, it usually isn't a matter of his life, it's him saving other people (usually Lois Lane).

but they don't have to face Apocolypse. Damn he should be in X-Men. So should have Mr. Sinister.
