Kevan Barlow, RB SF
News:
The Jets acquired running back Kevan Barlow from the 49ers for an undisclosed draft pick in 2007, their second attempt in a week to shore up the position. The deal is contingent on Barlow passing a physical. "We have been impressed with Kevan's production in both the running and passing game," Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum said. "We feel Kevan will complement our running back group, and he will come in and compete for playing time." The 6-foot-1, 234-pound Barlow has 3,614 yards and 24 touchdowns in his career.
Analysis: (Fantasy)
Barlow enters the Jets' competition for the starting RB spot, but it's likely that he will share carries as part of a potential three-headed monster with Cedric Houston and Derrick Blaylock ... if Curtis Martin's knee doesn't heal first. However, this blows life into an otherwise useless Fantasy player thanks to his versatility. Barlow has gone from definite reserve Fantasy rusher to a No. 3 or 4 RB with a shot at getting 700-to-800 total yards. Use a middle- to late-round pick on Barlow in case he catches on with the Jets.
one less place for Chris to relocate to :irked:

that's a shame really
I have 0 confidence that Brown will play the entire season without seeing the PUP at least twice

Well, he's not going to the New York Jets.
That's for sure.
