uninvited
good twist, but very predictable
Watched that over the weekend and I've already forgotten it.
Pointless Teen Grudge Clone #675
Creeps, if you've haven't seen House of the Devil yet (Tom Noonan as the villain, which I know you'd appreciate), you need to see it, sir.

Great throwback 80s horror film. Strongly recommended to anyone who likes those types of films.

Oh yeah.... Noonan creeps me out even in the trailer!
Poor Mary Woronov.. time has finally caught up with her.. Loved her 70's stuff. A true Amazon.

The Hurt Locker: I thought this was a very good, intense war/action film. It follows a three-man EOD specialist unit in Iraq, and there days together before their rotation is up. What is so good about this film, IMO, is that has no political message, no agenda. It simply is showing the lives of these three soldiers doing one of the most dangerous jobs the Army has. Performances are fantastic, specifically lead actor Jeremy Renner (who might be looking at nominations for best actor honestly). There are fantastic cameos by David Morse as a hilarious CO, Ralph Fiennes as some Blackwater-type PMC specialist, and Guy Pierce as an EOD sergeant early on in the film. Also, Kathryn Bigelow (Point Break, Near Dark) does a superb job behind the camera; this woman really knows how to shoot an action piece. Some of the pieces extend past 10-15 minutes, and never feel boring; they are tense and dire throughout. My only complaints are some minor technical guffaws.

just watched Tropic Thunder
I thought it was decent
Downey Jr. ,Black and Cruise did good jobs imo
Stiller was ....... well, Stiller
it had quite a bit of potential, but didn't capitalize ... typical for Stiller
plenty of wtf moments to be had
I enjoyed it
i'd put it in the high 7's

Beowulf reminded me of an adult Shrek movie
I didn't hate it. but aside from the (very well done) CGI, the movie itself was average at best

I prefer the original

Wanted
ok, I'll admit, the 1st half had me glued, the second half had me poo'd
some very interesting action sequences, and somewhat of a plot
kinda Fight Club meets The Matrix
I liked it overall, but really wish the end of the movie was half as good as the beginning

Yes, yes and yes.
As you can tell, totally agree. The wife and I were unhappy with it... we love the original.
I saw INGLORIOUS BASTERDS last night and I have to say it was a great film. Very well done. There was a sneak preview at Green Hills last night (you had to check your cell phones at the door).

Funny People
I wasn't expecting very much out of it, and it's a good thing I didn't get my hopes up because it wasn't all that great. It was different from most comedies. It was a pretty dark, sad film in a way. Lastly, the movie was way too long... I believe it was 140 minutes.

That is FANTASTIC. I would like to see more of this in every theater!
Or, maybe just a strong beating by everyone in the theater if your cell goes off, you call someone or you text. Talk about a huge waste of money.
$12+ just to sit on your phone. Looks like somebody needs a good beating.
Chronicles of Narnia : Prince Caspian
seriously, can we stop crappy directors from destroying excellent fantasy ?
see: The Golden Compass ..... a great set of books, a crap film
