Nope. I'm not sure of the cap situation but I don't believe releasing Volek saves much and he's quality insurance even if McNair was to stay. Mauck would be the odd man out if McNair stays.Tungtide said:Jeff, do you think the Titans may choose to keep Mac and dump Volek in an effort to win now, knowing we have Young for next year? It is an interesting thought.

Yea that was Volek's fault we lost that game.
The offense actually didn't give up a single turnover that game, no ints or fumbles and the defense was still able to give up 38 points. Pathetic.

Wow. Drew Brees had 1 more TD and almost as many yards on 1/3rd of the attempts of Volek. Looks like Volek did alot of useless stuff in that game.
well maybe he will do a lot better if he is in the game a lot more
It was painful to watch. Check Shad Meiers stats. Career day.Caphorn said:Looks like Volek did alot of useless stuff in that game.

9 catches for 31 yards, with a long of 6 yards. He did get a TD, but this definitely reveals a lot about the shortcomings of Shad Meier.
Volek is going to have a better supporting cast on offense and a defense that wont give up so many points.
The problem wasn't Meier, he just happened to be open on short routes all day long.
Not sure I'd call them "routes".Starkiller said:The problem wasn't Meier, he just happened to be open on short routes all day long.
And no, I don't think it was Meier either.
