I think it goes back to her past. Go back to the beginning of the 1st episode with her boyfriend. Penguin is the best part of the show.
It's basically gcpd blue. It's OK, has some real good episodes, some OK.
It started slow, but atleast Matthew and Woody sold their characters.
I'm enjoying True Detective so far. It feels different than last season for sure though. It kinda seems like the story is a bit more complicated this time around but hopefully it all pays off in the end. I didn't really get hooked on season 1 until about 3 or 4 episodes in.
I did. Definitely not without its issues but overall I enjoyed it for what it was. It's kind of just a steady "good" and never really ventures into "great". If you're a Batman fan it's worth checking out for sure.
