Terminator 2. Also James Cameron.Aliens about the only one I can think of that breaks this rule
I did not think the gap was that long between T & T2
I mean I guess it was, just did not seem it
and yeah T2 was crazy good

Why is it always T2… i couldn’t get past the liquid guy. T1 was awesome and Predator as well. The liquid ooze villain just was too over the top for me. Great scenes in the movie though.Terminator 2. Also James Cameron.
I like movies like Legends of the Fall, The Last Samurai, Open Range, We were Soldiers, Private Ryan… MeL Gibson a fine actor too. The man he plays in We Were Soldiers was right next to my best friend’s dad Bill Hammond. Most recent outing was Dune. B-

Seconded on Open Range, another under-rated classic. And I've been completely enthralled by the Dune movies, both were just amazing. That director, Denis Villeneuve is going to be something special. Watching 2049 is like watching an artist paint his masterpiece. And that's coming from someone HATED Arrival. I thought that movie was awful.
Like 7 years? Maybe 84 and 91?I did not think the gap was that long between T & T2

Didn’t look it up but you make a point about the gap possibly not being that much of a factor prior to the 90’s.
Arnold is a good guy, the scene where Linda Hamilton sees the world burn, and yea, the Liquid Metal was pretty cool (Robert Patrick isn’t known for like anything else). Why is it always T2… i couldn’t get past the liquid guy. I do like the first one too.
It’s #3 and later that can go to the trash can.
Moneyball, the social network, and often the documentary/bio-pic movies always catch my attention.I like movies like Legends of the Fall, The Last Samurai, Open Range, We were Soldiers, Private Ryan… MeL Gibson a fine actor too. Blackberry was really good, so was Air that both came out recently.
Tetris is on Apple TV, so F that until it comes out on a real network.
Watching the Fugitive. Hanz Solo and Tommy Lee Jones. Nobody, and I mean Nobody, does the Federal man in charge better than Tommy! He’s made a career off playing the role of head law man. Movie still holds up btw!
Slap shot, clockwork orange, the warriors and clerks are my favs
Pitt as the Pikey in Snatch was goldSlap shot, clockwork orange, the warriors and clerks are my favs
I do like most of the Kevin Smith series.Slap shot, clockwork orange, the warriors and clerks are my favs
Clerks was awesome. Dogma and Mallrats are up there too.
not sure Warriors holds up BUT the others are all solid with Slap Shot being the definitive hockey movie IMOSlap shot, clockwork orange, the warriors and clerks are my favs
Did you see the Predator prequel Prey. It was dope. Why is it always T2… i couldn’t get past the liquid guy. T1 was awesome and Predator as well. The liquid ooze villain just was too over the top for me. Great scenes in the movie though.
“I want you to check every warehouse, outhouse, dog house, hen house, jumbo shrimp, cocktail shrimp, lemon shrimp, shrimp gumbo…” Wait, I think I’m mixing up two movies.Watching the Fugitive. Moneyball and TSN are both also HIGHLY RESPECTED movies in my house as well. And I loved Air, despite the massive faux pas of referring to 'Hakeem Olajuwon' in 1984.

Well growing up in the '80's in NYC punk scene, you can relate to it.
Pitt as the Pikey in Snatch was gold
Snatch was great, and if you liked that one, you have to watch Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels. Classic Guy Ritchie.
Also, similarly, Layer Cake was pretty great.
Also, I just checked, it was a 4 year gap between Back to the Future and the infinitely superior sequel, Back to the Future 2.
I became a guy Ritchie fan after seeing those 2.Snatch was great, and if you liked that one, you have to watch Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels. Classic Guy Ritchie.

I also liked Smokin’ Aces although I don’t think that’s Ritchie, just similar.
