Finally saw Drive.. It was good but certainly not as life changing as the hype suggests.
Filmmakers were definitely fans of To Live and Die in LA, City of Industry and maybe Against All Odds. I awaiting the Phil Collins music but it never happened.

None of it ever seems "real"..
This is different from a typical "gross-out" movie. They never bother me, but I'm not going to watch Antichrist or Human Centipede.
I'd say Human Centipede, Martyrs and the like are by definition gross-out flicks.

The offending scene was blood coming out of a penis. Big woop. Hope you never have to deal with a kidney stone or prostate infection..
It's Lars Von Trier, watch his other films...he's as PRETENTIOUS as they come. I reluctantly say, however, that he is very talented.
