My take on The Avengers

Since I don't really follow Marvel and all their characters I wasn't sure what to expect, but I thought the movie was pretty good. I liked the comedy they incorporated, but felt the movie didn't exactly live up to the hype everyone in Hollywood created. I saw it in 3D and there wasn't anything special that makes the 3D version worthwhile. Still, a good way to spend 2.5 hours.

I'm like the least "sex-obsessed" male I know.

Not on this forum.

But my comment wasn't literal- though the correlation between those that dress up as comic characters, star wars characters, harry potter characters, etc at movie theaters and virginity is probably an overwhelming percentage AND not a coincidence. How many girls are going for the tard in a captain america mask battling it out with his buddy Thor?... Yeaahhhh...

Forgive me for saying what everyone is truly thinking.

Oh I agree on that particular day. My point is simply that because a person, one day, decides to dress up in something goofy and go to a theatre, doesn't mean that he isn't normal on 360 days of the year with a normal sex life etc.

That's my internet persona. You should follow this dude on twitter... @ProSexTips (not really, but basically)

And man... I do theater. I'm all about dressing up and looking ridiculous. But that? That's a whole nubba level of dork.

Can't wait to see this

Saw the Avengers tonight. A week ago, I wasn't expecting much at all. After hearing countless raving reviews, I got my expectations up... perhaps too high.

I really enjoyed it, but the end reminded me too much of Transformers. I really wish Edward Norton had played the Hulk - not that Ruffalo did a bad job or anything. I'm just a big Norton fan. The Hulk was actually my favorite part of the movie.

8.5/10

Last watched Clerks. I was never big on Kevin Smith films but the guy himself is pretty funny. I actually really like the film and had the 90's vibe I love.

Just saw the Avengers, as far as comic book movies, it's a 8.5/10. Did a great job of distributing everyone's screen time. Actually would have been a 10/10 of they would have gave a little more screen time for more dialogue/interaction between the superheros.

I think Ruffalo was a better Hulk but we'll see how he goes in his own movie.

I personally liked Norton's Bruce Banner more, though Ruffalo did a good job, although it was a very easy role for Ruffalo since he basically just played himself lol.

Norton didn't play himself? He's been a major disappointment for over a decade now. Unfortunate, really. Was my favorite actor a while back... wouldn't put him in my top 20 today.

Saw Avengers again tonight due to having nothing to do and a cheap local theater.

Can anyone really argue against how pointless Captain America is?... The guy shows up to tell people what to do... throw his stupid shield... and give Black Widow a boost.

Norton is an amazing actor, but he hasn't had the right movie come along since Fight Club.

Primal Fear, American History X, and Fight Club... He hasn't really had a big role other than in those.

The Descendants - 7/10

I've been wanting to see this for a while. I actually ended up buying it at Best Buy for $2 on blu-ray (after some coupons). I figured I might as well pay an extra dollar to own it rather than RedBox it for one night.

It was way overhyped and pretty average IMO. Reminded me of Little Miss Sunshine (which I liked, but it's way overrated)... A dark, morbid comedy. Maybe these type movies go right over my head or something. I definitely don't see how this came close to winning best picture.

I'll probably sell it on eBay and make a profit.

25th hour or something like that. Not amazing, but pretty good.

Yea I remember that coming out about ten years ago. Never saw it though.

One of the funniest movies I have seen in the last 10 years. Used to hate Andy Dick, but he truly redeemed himself as the coach in this movie.
