Really though is there any superhero flick or tv show y'all don't like? Pretty real sure content and quality don't matter cause y'all gonna be "eh it was pretty good" if it has anything to do with comic books

All Fantastic 4s, Xmen 3, Wolverine, Spiderman 3, Green Lantern, most Supermans to name some. I've heard Ghost Riders, and Jonah Hex suck too.

I thoroughly enjoyed the entirety of BvS, I don't know what the hell everyone was expecting, but to me, it was spot on, considering I knew exactly what was going on the entire time.

Okay, saw it tonight, here's my take:

-I was fine with the brooding seriousness of it. While Nolan's vision made sense to be dark because it was all basically a story of theatrical psychos and ninja vigilantes, this one makes sense to be dark because the entire PerformanceWear Tights genre has self-parodied itself into burnout (hi Marvel!) and Snyder's treatment of it as a Greek tragedy of gods among men kept me engaged without looking for whatever the next punch line was gonna be.
- I was also fine with Affleck as Wayne. I don't know how much was actual Affleck versus CG body imaging, but as a late 40's bodybuilder with greying hair, Affleck fit the role better than I expected. Gal Gadot was also more imposing as Diana Prince than I would have expected as well.
-Eisenberg's Lex Luther was also an excellent casting decision. After groaning at Gene Hackman congratulating himself as World's Greatest Criminal Mind and facepalming to Kevin Spacey's attempt to camp it up, Eisenberg does a comparatively stellar job of portraying Luther as a delusional psychopath...and that's the Luther I've wanted to see.
- After some good storytelling (in spite of yet another unnecessary portrayal of the Wayne murders...as if we had no idea why there is a Batman) with a bit of plot twisting to bring us to our titular battle, things start going a bit south right at the point where they should not. Loud, bombastic music accompanies a loud, bombastic superfight followed by an even louder and more bombastic climax in which this shifts from idealistic battle to generic monster movie. This is probably the point that caused the most neg reps from the critics; I really think that we've reached a saturation point of CGI lightening, fire and wanton destruction that is just isn't impressive any more and becomes self-parody. Even though I like the SH genre just like I liked Greek and Norse mythology back in The Day, I am now longing for a clever, Jack Sparrowesque climax; or at least a climactic battle that is toned down and more earnest (Raimi's SpiderMan vs Green Goblin, for instance). Here, the entire climax seemed assembled in Post rather than acted before a camera.
- Though I understand the point of WHY it was done, I thought this film leaned too heavily upon dream sequences...most of which made no sense because they imply that Bruce Wayne has the power of prophesy and foresight and as far as I know he does not and never has.
- While Amy Adams portrays a Lois Lane that- for once- I don't hate (she goes to work! She does her job! She does journalism!), she is still half of an unnecessary interjection of love interest for Supes. This has always been annoying to me; the great failure with the Supes character is that he's so perfect and powerful that the way to make him accessible was to give him girl trouble. Even when things are going great between them, Girl Trouble interferes with his storylines. Now, I know and accept that Lois is always going to be part of the canon but I won't stop being annoyed by it...especially when they decide to go into the John and Mary exchange while Big Things are happening.

I was shooting for a surprise 8/10 but it dropped to 6/10 in the final half hour. I want to see the DCMU expand, but not with the predictably bombastic climaxes. The same goes with Marvel: I've burned out on climaxes with Large Flying Object Which Crashes. Stop it, please.

There was only one dream sequence (going from memory) and I think that was just Bruce's fear of what would happen (though the fly mosquitos was a bit weird, maybe he thought more aliens would visit).

But the bit after it was The Flash and it felt a bit disjointed and out of field. BUT if they tie this into the Flash movie (like a flashpoint paradox-type scenario) then it would be an amazingly good tie-in and would make the whole collaboration of one universe that much better, but if they just forget about it. It's a failure.
