Green Room..
Unexpected change of pace role for Patrick Stewart, who plays head honcho of a white power, punk rock compound out in the Oregon woods.
A visiting band encounters some hard grief from the neo-nazi punkers.
Tense horror /revenge film..
Also includes the late Anton Yelchin who plays a bit of a sad role considering his recent demise..
Definitely worth checking out..

10 Cloverfield Lane. I really enjoyed. Goodman is the man. But I can't help but think this would've been more memorable if they hadn't tied it into the "Cloverfield" universe and just let it be a tight, focused psychological thriller. It was like BAM! Plot Twist! BAM! Plot Twist! BAM! Plot Twist! After awhile it got to be a little bit too ridiculous.

The advertising blew it for me on this one.
The commercials show her running from the house and large space-ship thingy coming up from behind the house.
If your movie is centered around whether or not something is actually happing or if the guy is just crazy - don't show the answer in the damn preview.
That beef aside - they did a pretty decent job..
Did you notice that the crazy woman who was banging on the door was the CEO gal from Silicone Valley?

Yeah, lots of movies these days blow their wad in the trailer. Although just having the word "Cloverfield" in the name was a dead giveaway as well.

I feel like the basic concept of "sketchy survivalist holding you captive... is he crazy or did the apocalypse actually happen" is actually quite brilliant. They screwed up associating this movie with Cloverfield though IMO. Even if you were still gonna do the alien thing at the end (which I'm positive was tacked on after they decided to essentially make this script "Cloverfield 2"), it just killed the tension quite a bit because you knew all along what was coming.

Like I said, I still really enjoyed it. This is just one of those movies that's kind of frustrating for me because you can tell there was a much, much better movie in there somewhere. It was like a M. Night Shyamalan wet dream with all the unnecessary twists and turns.

Yeah I noticed that. Took me a second to figure out where I knew her from though.

Clover field 10 was pretty dope

Until the ending. Ruined the whole thIng. Away worse than just killing em with water. Wtf was m knight thinking with that Rambo bs.

Watched 10 Cloverfield Lane this past weekend and it was really good. It had me browsing the web for answers a couple hours after the end. It also had the ole lady on the edge of her seat all the way to the end.

I also watched Midnight Special this weekend. Good movie but was disappointed by the ending. I really like Michael Shannon as a lead actor.

Why do you see such bad movies?

You're the reason we end up with ****. You buy Madden every year. You see ****** movies every week.

Why couldn't your wife have smacked some sense into you?
Umm I didnt buy Madden last year

and I dont see bad movies every week, i actually see only about 4 movies a year, this last week I just happened to have free tickets so I took a chance

people like you are the worst

I don't drink.

And the only way we get more quality video games, movies, and tv shows is to start hitting the production companies where it hurts. Forking over money annually does nothing but keep us inundated with total shit.

That means zealots like you need to not consume shit media.

you really do sound like a whiny little girl trying to tell that to me

like I said, I only see a select few movies a year, and I finally stopped buying Madden, although the last 2 have been good

By all means, keep throwing money away on shit. Maybe other people will wise up and your consumption won't matter. I doubt it though.

Dude, movie views very from person to person.

It seems to have reviewed well with the audience.

Just saw the two Star Trek reboots... pretty terrible.

Unsuspenseful action with more lens flare than Elton John.

So I'm sitting here watching tv and not plowing through the commercials like I normally do. A commercial for Tarzan comes on and I look up. Apparently movie ads have tweets in them now from random people instead of just making fake movie critic reviews like they used to.

One of them was from @Abell_30 who said,

#LegendofTarzan then responded with,

What has happened to the world?

It's not only in movies, ESPN had a preseason top 25 the other day from some guy with less than 100 followers on twitter.
