SUMMARY: The Titans have reached an agreement in terms with unrestricted free agent Robaire Smith. "It is great to have Robaire back," GM Floyd Reese said. "He had a hand in our previous success and adding his ability to a talented defensive line rotation should lead to more success." His career totals include 370 tackles, 16.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries. In '05, he set a career high with 102 tackles and added two sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. In related news, DL DeQuincy Scott will not be joining the Titans after failing a physical today.

Oh yes this is great! We got the beast back. One of our main run stoppers a few years ago... Time to add him on Madden! He is still a DT right? Cuz on madden they list him as a RE... If he is thats great cuz we could have KVB , Haynesworth , Robeast , Starks all start that would be awesome.
Welcome back Mr. Smith, it is great to have you back next to BIG Al!! I can see our run defense improving and the pass defense will also benefit from this move. I am glad to see the FO jumping on this one. It was a great sign.

He was a DE in Houstons 3-4 front.
Great signing.
Terms were not disclosed according to ESPN.
The defense is starting to run out of excuses now.

Well the secondary is still suspect, imo. Thompson wouldn't be starter on any other team and Hill doesn't seem to have improved from his rookie season.
But if we stink against the run, well... I mean we should be stout in the middle with Albert, Robarie, Starks and with Thornton and Bulluck we should have speed to the outside and Laboy and KVB should get a good outside rush.. but that's all theoretic, will be interesting to see this weekend.
Eh, Thompson is better than some other teams' starting free safetys....would you rather have....oh say Ryan Clark? I mean lets see how he does, sure a guy like Sean Taylor would be pretty nice...but hey whatever
Agree, good/great pickup.
A ways to go still. The deep ball will kill us.

At the time Robaire left for Houston, most thought his leaving was worse than losing Kearse (which happened the same day).
