Does anyone know anything about this guy? Was he worth a 3rd round pick?
Well for a starters he's a safety and a 4th round pick
He's quite an intelligent player who has great field awareness and instincts. He is quite small though but also quite physical so he can make some quality tackles.
He's quite quick on his feet but he can overestimate his strength and aggression.
He's worth his value if he gets stronger, but become less aggressive at times in the game and becomes less judgemental

I've heard more about Finnegan than I've heard about Lowry. Just wondering if there was a reason for this......other than Finnegan getting into trouble.

He runs a 4.5 40 which isn't spectacular but not bad for a SS.
He lacks great athleticism and some draft sites were not sure he would even get drafted. Go figure. I can't see him being drafted that early IMO.

Have just found an alright website which has a good amount of info on Calvin Lowry. Again, its the quickness that seems the talking point

Lowry vs fuller...
An interesting comparison because both are 4th rd pick safeties and came from big schools. Both have different strong points and body types. Fuller is faster 4.43 vs 4.5, 2 inches taller but 10 lbs lighter. Lowry is more of a SS type and the better tackler.
Lowry's 2005 stats were a little better than fuller's 2004 stats at college.
Lowry was in on 79 tackles vs fuller's 52 and had 4 ints vs fuller's 3.
The coaches of the big ten thought enough of lowry to vote him to the all conference team.
