SUMMARY: QB Tim Couch worked out yesterday at Baptist Sports Park but did not leave with a contract offer though he passed his physical. Couch is working out for a number of teams to show he has fully recovered from shoulder which sidelined his career. The Dolphins and Bengals have both had him for a visit in recent weeks. Couch is a former first overall pick in the 1999 NFL draft by the Browns but has been out of the NFL now for two seasons because of the injury. He has not played since being released by the Green Bay Packers after the 2004 preseason.

Not neccesarily true. The article only said he wasn't offered one yet.
We are talking about a #2 or #3 QB are we not?
Exactly... he wasn't offered a contract on the spot. Depending on how the draft goes, we still might pick him up in the future... or even in a few days.
maybe we should have tendered him 'something' to throw everybody off the scent that we're gonna draft a QB with our #3 pick

Maybe we can make him some kind of Bizzaro Kevin Daft and send him to NFLE so he can learn how to suck worse.Titans2008 said:Exactly... he wasn't offered a contract on the spot. Depending on how the draft goes, we still might pick him up in the future... or even in a few days.
