So what is the league going to do come playoff time in regards covid? They've been inconsistent all year.. making SF and DEN play with full practice squads, while constantly delaying the Pitt v Bal game because of baby Lamar.
There were a lot of false positives early in the season, and probably throughout but after a while I quit caring. So if a team's star player has been fine all season then 2 days before a playoff game he tests "positive".. what are they going to do?
My guess, depends on the team and player, as usual.
What should happen: they play on regardless. These adults could've opted out before the season started, so if they weren't scared back then, they shouldn't be scared come playoff time. If they suspend players right before a playoff game.. insurmountable disgust would wash over that team's fanbase.

if someone gets covid they wont play. pretty simple. if a whole team gets it (or 2 teams), probably a delay.
you really think if only Mahomes "gets" covid before playoff game they won't delay it?if someone gets covid they wont play. pretty simple. if a whole team gets it (or 2 teams), probably a delay.

You should opt out of making threads
feel free to press that ignore button
They should delay the hell out of it if someone has covid or covid like symptoms. Ain't no rush to play these games. If you don't play the playoffs with full squads then you have to put an asterisk for whoever wins.
They've moved the NBA championship, NHL championship, PGA championship, World Series.... has not been a problem for anyone.

Super Bowl started on time the time that raider OL man went off his meds and MISSED the damn game... was like drunk as a skunk no showing for the super bowl
kicked off as scheduled
IIRC had police looking for dude
just as an example
When Barret Robbins disappeared before Super Bowl
People who call Covid Chinaflu probably scream about Japan when they crash their Toyota (Japan car!) or curse Sweden when they stub their toe on their IKEA couch (Sweden sofa!)
yeah... OR they use conventional logic that has been used for centuries...
but you being butthurt by facts does make me laugh

Yes, we long have referred to disease outbreaks by geographic places. Here's why we shouldn't anymore - CNN
'Infectious diseases throughout history have been named for geographic locations where they were thought to have originated: Spanish flu, West Nile virus, Middle East Respiratory Syndrome, Zika and Ebola, to name a few.'
china virus = FACT
and I laugh at YOU being butthurt about it @Dangermode

So you're saying treat covid like any other injury?
Only issue I have with that is that players would want to play with covid. MJ played with the flu and made history in the playoffs. If you don't postpone games for players with covid there's a good chance that the staff would hide positives from star players until after the game.
yeah... I stopped caring around march
but stay in your bunker there bunkerboi

They should just get the vaccines. Surely we can give the playoff teams and staffs the vaccine before the playoffs start.
What if a player doesn't want the vaccine? They opted to play the season with the existence of covid, they shouldn't be mandated to be a test runThey should just get the vaccines. Surely we can give the playoff teams and staffs the vaccine before the playoffs start.
ultimately it should be: no one is automatically held from a game for "positive" case, if the player feels physically able to play they should be allowed. Mandated vaccine should not be a thing
or FACTUALLY accurate
if someone gets it they have to miss like a week at least so a delay wouldnt really accomplish anything
2 weeks
yeah or lets not let the ppl with highly infectious diseases play during a PANDEMIC.ultimately it should be: no one is automatically held from a game for "positive" case, if the player feels physically able to play they should be allowed.
if you wanna diatribe about how you think covid is fake or not serious or whatever, take it to reddit. the NFL isn't gonna have these people on the field. move on.
