If you are the Giants what the hell do you do with Daniel Jones? Do you pay him to be your franchise QB? He had his best QB rating this yr and it was a 92... actually worse than Tanny 94. Jones has improved his completion % each yr, but he has been a turnover machine just like he was at Duke. I feel the Giants have to pay him, but are going to regret it.
It's night and day compared to what Daboll has been able to do with him.
NYG signs him. The fact that he isn’t a Mahomes means that he’s cheaper. Letting him go and searching for someone new is not a good move.
Doesn't sound like they are committed to him.
Brian Daboll doesn't commit to Daniel Jones as Giants' 2023 QB after playoff loss to Eagles

Tag him and get him some real weapons and see what he can do. Barkley's contract is also up tho I think you have to let him walk. Tough spot overall.
He is a low rent Josh AllenHe is a younger Tanney at best do not pay him
IMO
It's classic Tannehill/Lamar Jackson situation. Nobody really believes he can do it. But he is their best option until he isn't.

With about 1/3 of the arm talent

And he still isn't good. I think they should let him test the market. Is anyone else really gonna pay that man 30-40 million per year?
Absolutely. Unfortunately, that’s where the market has gotten. Teams overpay for the limited talent out there. The best part for any potential team in FA, is they may be able to negotiate regarding some of his shortcomings. And he still isn't good. I think they should let him test the market. The worst part is a handful of teams pursuing which essentially raise his value by multiple teams competing.
I think the Giants tag him and see if he progresses next season. The tag will be 29-30m which is basically 2nd tier QB money now.
The QB market is going to be crazy this offseason.
Bucs, Colts, Commanders, Jets, Panthers, Raiders, Saints, Texans are all in need of a starting QB
then you have Ravens, Giants, Hawks who all have FA QBs to deal with and then the Cards have their "franchise" QB under contract, but he won't be ready to start the season.

Jones is awful. Might as well stick with Tannehill for another year if you think Jones is the answer.
Giants should look elsewhere tbh.
