At the fundraiser, I asked Young in front of 175 fans if he had experienced a losing season since he began playing organized football.
"Nope," he said.
So I asked, "How are you going to deal with having your first losing season?" Young looked at me as if I had insulted his mama.
"Who said we're going to have a losing season?" he said.
"Well, gee, Vince, I do. Stop the presses. The Titans were 4-12. They're going to be playing a rookie quarterback in a division with Indianapolis and Jacksonville and against the NFC East, the toughest division in the NFL."
Young listened and kind of crinkled his nose before responding. "Hey, I don't plan on having a losing season," he said confidently.
