SUMMARY: Titans Coach Jeff Fisher commented on Monday on his feeling following the 28-24 loss to the Seahawks. "This was, I think, one of the toughest losses we’ve had all year only because we had a chance to win this game," said Fisher. "We had a chance to make a play at the end to win this game and we did not do that against a team that is going to represent the NFC and probably do well in the playoffs. I don’t buy into the notion, and I want to make it very clear, that this was a moral victory because we played an 11-2 team down to the wire. That is not acceptable to me. If you have a chance to win the game, you’ve got to go make a play to win the game. That is how you learn. The moment we start congratulating players for their efforts and this and that and overlooking the fact that we’re losing instead of winning, that is going to set you back a long way. I am not satisfied with anything associated with this game only because we didn’t win it.

I noticed that too. He actually had some things to say about Calico and Brown mistakes they made in the game.

I think he sugar-coated too much earlier in the season. He may be laying some groundwork for the offseason.

No doubt. The difference from other losses is that this was the last home game. Fish (FO) is pitching bait to the season ticket holders who have 9 months to remember this and the other losses that we paid big bucks to experience.

I left the Seattle game feeling better about the Titans and their future than I did leaving the Houston game the Sunday before.

I've been critical of Fisher a bit this season about this "glass is half full" approach he's taken after a loss. I trust he knows the mentality of his young team and felt that was the best direction. It appears he's decided to kick a little buttock the last few games to see how another approach works. I applaud him on his willingness to call a few players out when he needs to.
