Welcome To Titans Talk - Tennessee Titans Fans Message Board

Sooo much to still work on.

ST tried to give it away, 45 yard and 25 yard PR, 1 set up the tying TD and Jackson fumbled 2x.

The offense had big issues, Levin sucks, Rudolph sucks. The OL had moments of OK then moments of wtf.

The D finally earned a +2 in TO. Hooker had 2 INT, they had 4 sacks, and did pretty well against the RB. Maye scrambled all over them, didn’t cover particularly well, and gave up the ugliest of game tying TD.

Penalties were out of control. Maybe refs, probably undisciplined.

I hope you're being sarcastic. Nothing feels good about going to OT with an awful team like the Patriots and winning.

We just went toe for toe with the worst team in the league at home to win our 2nd game of the season.
The team can’t win 2 if they don’t win 1.

As bad as they are, the team just needs a win to build something off of.
We know they’re a 4 win team at best now, but they need something towards next season. The team has been built that most of these guys will be around next season.

What momentum are we building from an OT win at home vs the worst team in the NFL?

I don't care about our draft position so it's not me being one of the "tankers". This team barely squeaked out a win at home vs the Patriots and this is suppose to be a feel good win and momentum builder.

Take a look at our schedule and tell me how many more games you think we win the rest of the season. I say 1 more game and that's at home against the Jaguars.

There was absolutely nothing good about this win, nor will it be a momentum builder.

Not arguing most of this. As I pointed out, lot to work on as they both tried to lose.
I think TN ends up winning 2-3 more, favored or not.

BC isn’t getting fired this season. You can probably end that hashtag.
This roster has some holes for next year but they also have young guys and guys under contract that will be around next season. If you think that an ugly W has no value to them vs all losses, I don’t think you pay attention to the players.

Earlier you said Pollard is 1 player of 4 players on this team who wants to win. Who are the other 3 in your opinion.

Also, what unproven players am I suppose to be paying attention to other than Latham, Sweat, Skron and Brownlee as far as the future goes?

This team is complete trash and I don't know when we'll get out of this funk, but it's not going to be under Callahan's watch.

Big Jeff, Latham, Pollard, and maybe Mcreary and browlee are the consistent guys that seem to be really trying or putting in an extra effort. Latham today almost got in a fight over some ugly NE play.

Unproven? I suppose draft picks and some of the vets that still need to perform BUT that really isn’t what I said.

I said that the team is pretty much built for next year via contracts. Sneed, Murray, Ridley, and Pollard for example aren’t going anywhere. The rookies from 23’ and 24’ are likely to hang around.

I won’t defend Callahan or the trash team opinion. I agree but I just cannot see BC fired after 1 season and a complete re-tooling. He will be given a second season at least to start. I don’t think it’s completely out of reality to see him get fired in year 2 with another 1-6 start. That’s exactly where Whizzenator got canned.

Titans will need at a minimum, RT, pass rusher, QB, possibly C (I think Cush is a 1 year contract), and safety.
Add overall weak depth and a LB that can also cover.

Getting out of the funk takes wins, even ugly wins. If they don’t win another game this year, I fully expect the funk to carry over to next year easily. If they can win 2-3, maybe even lose in respectable games, it can build on a locker room improvement.

And if we lost this game, along with the rest of the games left, I really think we fire Callahan. Winning this lame game may have saved him.

It's not even about wins or losses, its about player development and Callahan has failed in that, along with his shit play calling.

As least he's smart enough to hold Levis out, so that it will buy him more time as a HC. I guess we can't evaluate the imbecile HC if he doesn't have a QB.

I went to the first 3 games this year and the excitement level for me has completely faded. Planned on going to at least 8 to 10 games, but Callahan has ruined my plans. This team should be so much better than what we are.

I think 7 games is early still to call total lack of development. That would include a rookie HC.

I don’t think holding Levis out is smart at all at this point. Levis has enough to be graded on. The only probably is Rudolph does to, we know he’ll never be anything. Levis still has potential for growth whether in TN or elsewhere, TN should make every opportunity about making sure that growth happens in TN if possible.

We all knew going into this season that Levis was THE point of the entire team. Figuring out that he ISNT the guy was also the job of BC and by virtue gives him more time anyway since he “never had a QB”.

Exactly. That's why I hate seeing Rudolph rolling out onto the field week after week.

I already know what Levis is but just wish it was on paper so that we can truly move on from him.

Will be interesting to see if the imbecile HC fires Colt Anderson tomorrow.

The last thing this fan base needs is an imbecile HC that keeps his imbecile friends on the team.

Special Teams, once again played awful.
100% agreement here.

45 yarder was bad
25 yarder was detrimental.
2 fumbles by Jackson, even if not lost, could spell disaster.
