I'm not for drafting Elijah Moore at 22 because I think the depth of the draft at WR doesn't warrant it. BUT JRob can't miss on this 1st rnder......no doubt Moore slots in perfectly as the starting slot...so he would see the field early....he is obviously wanted by current teammates and has been given a ton of love in the local media....JRob does not live in a bubble neither does Amy Adams...

the other positions that the player could see the field immediately would be CB, RT, DT/NT

Farley and Newsome both come with injury issue histories so not the safest

RT....not sure he can go back there after Wilson...no doubt would come with a ton of heat from local media and fans

DT/NT....Barmore is the only one rated close to 22....he has been a hot/cold player

LB/Edge....Parsons comes with off field issues, Zaven Collins is a possibilty but wouldn't be an immediate starter more of a sub package guy.

Who do you all think is the safest pick for JRob?

Rashod Bateman.

He can play outside and block and be physical and do the things that we seem to want to do. Slot receivers are fun, but we play a lot of 2 TE sets and we have to be near the bottom in the league at 3 WR sets. And Reynolds is a 1 year deal and played slot pretty exclusively with the Rams.

As would Terrace Marshall. I would be fine with Moore as a second round pick or in a trade down. It is just hard for me too take a 5 foot 9 slot wr at pick 22. But I would rather take the slot wr, than the RT

I really don't think Bateman nor Marshall will be high on the draft board. JRob prioritizes college production at WR, and more than just TDs.

Elijjah Moore and Dyami Brown seem the most likely picks, imo. Hopefully, we have the opportunity to trade down and acquire more picks and still get our guy.

Azeez Ojulari or Barmore are top of my list.

Landry is a FA next year and Dupree might not be 100% especially early in the year. The value of an elite edge rusher tops anything else. Ojulari is the best combination of athleticism and skill set on the edge in this draft (maybe Philips but Philips has some questions about his long term health).

We have a strong need for another interior DLand Barmore massively upgrades what we have there. Can be disruptive against the run or pass. Paired with Simons would give us a top notch line with Autry.

Either one of those guys upgrades the whole defense.

Oh, I believe the hot cold and other negatives on Barmore are BS. He is by far the best interior guy in this draft and if he stayed in school would probably be a top 15 pick. Yea, he lacks some maturity and development but he is only 21 years old and his best football is in front of him. He might not even make it to 22. Watch the Patriots take him if they don't get a QB.

Big pass on DL for me. With Simmons and Autry, we don't need to spend an early pick there. Plenty of quality options in the mid rounds. I actually like Milton Williams quite a bit and wouldn't be surprised if he is one of our 3rd round picks. Jay Tufele and Darius Still are high on my list of DLs at different points in the draft as well.

Bateman had 36 catches in 5 games last year and 1200 yards the year before.
