2001 (rookie season): 20 tackles, 7 sacks, 4 passes deflected, 2 fumbles forced
2012: 1 tackle.
What the heck has happened? He never seems to be on the field anymore. He was a great pass rusher in 2011.

1 year wonder. we see it every year. A person has a good season, gets hopes up, then fails. See also: Cam Newton.

His snaps have been dramastically reduced due to being outplayed by Sen'Derrick and Martin.
being outplayed by senderrick marks may be the worst insult a player has ever faced.

Wait though. Did "we" actually see him fail or is he just not being played?

We'll never know. We're in the familar debacle... Overload of mediocre players, instead of 4-6 good ones. klug is somewhere in the wash along with the rest of the mediocre players. He hasn't capitalized when he's been given the chance. when you're a backup or rotational player, you have to show the coaching staff that they NEED you in the game.

Fair enough. But, there's always a but, when the "best" players you are using on game day are not getting it done, when do you get smart and at least give the others a chance?
ya good question. They let J Cook rot for his first 3 seasons or so before getting him some opportunity.Fair enough. But, there's always a but, when the "best" players you are using on game day are not getting it done, when do you get smart and at least give the others a chance?
From listening to discussions on the radio, Klug is in a particular defensive package used for passing downs. One of the points made is he's not getting many reps because the defense isn't getting opponents in many obvious passing situations.
He's one of a few guys who hasn't made the strides we thought would happen their second season after showing a lot of potential their rookie season.

You create your own destiny, it's no one but Cooks fault it's taken him this long to do something.ya good question. They let J Cook rot for his first 3 seasons or so before getting him some opportunity.
I'm sure he'll have another nice finish to the season and trick people into thinking he's the next Jimmy Graham or Rob Gronkowski.
He will finish the season strong because locker is back and can get the ball down the field. He was wide open on several plays last week. To often he is not even on the field and therefore has no chance to make plays.
I do not know if he will ever live up to his ath. billing but I will say that since we have drafted him he has not been used correctly.

No. Sorry. Don't give Jeff Fisher a pass for letting yet another great player rot on the bench.
Keep in mind- he had Kenny Britt behind Justin Gage before Gage got hurt- and naturally Kenny comes in and murders the Eagles.
Every time Cook was in- he produced. So cut that nonsense.
Cook gets it together every year week 15
Last year week-15 103-yards, week-16 169-yards, week-17 63-yards.
Same thing in 2010.
Maybe it just takes the guy 3-4 months to figure things out.

he gets produces every time he plays when he's thrown the ball.
And many times he's wide open and not seen. It's pointed out constantly.

And a number of times when he's open its cause he ran a different route that no one saw.he gets produces every time he plays when he's thrown the ball.
