Jake Locker isn’t ready to play in a game, but the Titans quarterback did make one breakthrough on Wednesday, taking part in practice for the first time this month.
Locker (non-throwing shoulder) was limited, but he did some throwing in individual and 7-on-7 drills. Coach Mike Munchak has already ruled Locker out of Sunday’s game at Buffalo, where Matt Hasselbeck will get his third straight start. Locker But Munchak said there’s reason for optimism about Locker’s chances the following week. Locker dislocated his left shoulder twice in the first four games.
“It was good to see him,” Munchak said. “It was what we hoped he’d be able to handle. Now it is a matter of how sore he gets and giving him more to do. He is a guy you have to hold back; he wants to be out there. But he is progressing.”
Locker’s non-throwing shoulder popped out for the second time on Sept. 30 at Houston, and the Titans are 1-1 with Hasselbeck. Munchak said Locker could have a “great chance” to return to the lineup on Oct. 28 against the Colts at LP Field.
Asked if the Titans might consider sticking with Hasselbeck if the Titans should win two straight, Munchak said: “If (Locker) is ready to play next week, there wouldn’t be any doubt that he’d be the guy playing.”

Haha I already see it now. We win big this week and then coach says hmm lets give locker one more week even if he is completely healed!
Locker may not be "completely healed" until he has surgery after the season.

they said he **MAY**. Thats just bull crap coach talk. If we win this week I promise you that he wont play next week either! As long as we win with Hasselback, he will be our guy. Which is completely stupid!
as long as we win with Hass and Locker's not fully healed, I'm fine with that. Why wouldn't we be? You did say as long as we're winning right?
B/c he is supposed to be our franchise qb and by keeping with the vet shows your lack of confidence in him!
not if locker isn't 100%. If we're winning, you've gotta think long term about that franchise qb. Why rush him back when the risk of re-injury, and long term damage is higher, especially when we're winning. I'd rather have locker out there, I'd also rather not see him rushed back and have his shoulder permanently damaged.
Listen he isn't going to have it permanently damaged if he plays with it. Regardless of how long we let him sit, hes going to require surgery at the end of the year.
We need Locker to play ASAP, regardless of whether we're winning or not. He needs experience in order to progress and see if he can become the QB we want him to be.
But this isn't what you've been saying... all you've been doing is bashing Locker and calling him a pansy.
This was in reference to going with the hot hand if we continue to win with hasselback even if Locker is ready to play. If Locker is ready to play, which I actually believe he could this week, then he should be starting end of story!

It's like watching Jersey Shore or Honey Boo Boo, you just know it's going to be bad, but you have to see just how bad it can be.
