SUMMARY: Titans third-string QB Matt Mauck practiced with the first team offense on Wednesday and is expected to get some work on Sunday against the Jaguars. Though it is not unusual for QB Steve McNair to not participate due to injury on Wednesday, backup Billy Volek usually gets the work. "We'll just see what happens. We'll have a better idea later in the week," Titans Coach Jeff Fisher said on Mauck playing Sunday. "As it relates to Billy, we know what Billy can do. Billy has done a great job for us as a reliever. As a starter he's won games. We don't know much about Matt. If we get an opportunity to put him in the game we will. I would like to have an opportunity to evaluate Matt, give him a chance to play and have some fun instead of having to wait until next preseason."

I wonder if he is talking about this season....
one of those read between the lines kinda thing.
Yeah..."we've seen what billy can do, and that's why we're starting our 3rd stringer"
Mauck is officially the starter on Sunday if McNair can't go...

How much worse can he be than Billy. Serious, he looked ok when he got in against AZ. We stink. Let the kid play.

Watch the kid come out and throw for 300+ yards and win the game.
I'm sure the Jags will be resting alot of their starters and our guys will be playing like it is a playoff game. Should be interesting.
Whilst I understand the decision, Matt Mauck is 26. He's not exactly a young "prospect"..
well man were 4-11, what do we have to lose...
and in the past 2 days i've seen bulluck have two articles to himself(1 from the tennessean and 1 from a jax paper) talking about the young players and the organization, he's not a very happy camper at all about everything, saying alot of things around the team need to change...

if we win we'll be picking 8-12 in the draft, that sucks!!! if we lose were getting 2-6....
Last year should have proven a lesson to the FO, going out with a win accomplished NOTHING! It cost us Ronnie Brown, a third round pick and, alot of Pacman head aches!
Lose damnit!

:ha:
as many people wouldn't agree with you, I will
(even though Cutler would be a slotted 8-12 pick)
At this point, I prefer they just lose and get a better draft pick...
