The NFL admitted that the offical blew the call on Troy Polamalu's interception which would have sealed the game much earrlier yesterday.
In hindsight of the call, I don't see where the NFL has the grounds to suspend Joey Porter for his comments, as the NFL's bumbling call did almost cost the Steelers the vicotry.

How ballsy off them to do it after VanderJerk missed the tying field goal.
What are the chances the league makes this same announcement if VanderJerk makes that kick. And, then Indy wins the game in OT?
Cowher would give birth before he'd hear from the league on that.

So, here is the problem with explanation, if I'm reading it correctly, let's say that Poopoo intercepts the ball, and rolls over, and is contacted by a Colt. He's down right. Then he tries to get up, and fumbles, so they are saying it would now be incomplete. It almost sounds even stupider than the call on the field yesterday. Because if he was contacted he's definately down. I don't quite understand that rule either unless I'm missing something. The only other scenario is that the Colt hits him as he is intercepting the ball, and then he tries to get up, but he's still be down as soon as he hit the ground. I may be missing something, but I don't get it.
If they are talking about a WR or DB still standing when this happens, I get it, but why would any ref confuse that with a guy going to the ground. The Ref would have to be an idiot.

I think that's already been established

Not an idiot a Co-Conspirator. lol
What can the NFL do to Pete Morelli anyway? Can he be fined or fired? Bad calls seem to be happening a lot anymore. Something really needs to be done.
he probably won't be officiating anymore playoff games
or at least not overruling any onfield rulings

My thought after the call was "Somebody just made an easy $5000....."
