Every year there a few scat backs in the draft "might" be the next Sproles or Cohen.

Most of them never do anything but we get excited thinking they might. Remember that UDFA from Iowa a few years back people here thought would be good.... he wasn't. But hope springs eternal.

My favorite this year is Deuce Vaughn who is only 5'5"

I also like this kid in a sproles type role.

P.s. Can we not use "scat" anymore lol

Can't remember what game I watched him in, but he absolutely was like a mosquito and dominated in all phases of the game.

I said to myself "if this guy had the measurables he would be a day 2 pick with ease". Guy is just so tiny, he won't get any love via the draft. He'll be an UDFA.

If we were to draft him with our final picks, I wouldn't be mad, as he can be a versatile playmaker.

He reminds me of Mike "Pinball" Clemons, a CFL legend who was one of my favorite players to watch. He was too small for the NFL game but the wide field in the CFL worked for him. He was also buddies with Muggsey Bougues who played for the Rapors in the late 90s. They bonded on being short.

h/t @DoubleBlue @kstone

That's probably where Deuce should go when he doesn't make it in the NFL. He could be another CFL legend..... better than being a ditch digger

“Pinball” That’s a great name!

Pinball is good people. Met him so many times over the years, either at argos camps or just randomly in the city. Always in a good mood that dude

There will never be another Sproles.

Most definitely was a talent for his role. I think there can be. Not sure why teams don't try to find talent similar to Sproles, as there's quite a few tiny scatbacks out there. I guess there's just not enough room on a roster to solely have someone like Sproles, as they will need to bring more to the table than just being a situational back, due to size.

I remember the first time I saw him play- immediately new he was a special player. Scat of all scats- did it better than Faulk imo.., as if that matters. Barry holds the trophy, but I say Sproles is certainly on the podium.

Ya had to double down on scat didnt ya
