I dont know about the rest of you , but i will be glad when they either cut him or redo his contract so we can move on. IMO all this media attention between McNair and pacman is just taking the focus away from this team trying to improve in the offseason. The media should be talking about who needs to improve from last year , things like that . But instead we have to hear about pacman's drug deal and McNairs salary cap.

#1 We all knew the day would come to cut McNair , the day is here so cut him and lets move on !

#2 We all knew pacman was a thug when we signed him , so it shouldnt be a shock to anyone. so lets move on !

Hey, nobody has accused the Titans of any wrongdoing.

There's no law against being disrespectful to people, or treating them like crap. You can't legislate tact.

NFLPA Considers Lockout Breach of Contract

SUMMARY: The Titans denied any wrongdoing yesterday in locking Steve McNair from attending workouts at Baptist Sports Park due to his contract issues. But NFLPA general counsel Richard Berthelsen feels differently. "They said they disputed our factual allegations asserted in the grievance, and our main allegation was that they were refusing to allow him to participate with players in activities with the club," Berthelsen said yesterday. "Well, that means they are denying they are not allowing him on club property. I can't take the word deny to mean anything else. It's interesting. We'll see what happens." Berthelsen said he wants the team to clarify their position before deciding the next step. "Either they treat him as the player he is and the player he has a right to be and allow him to be there with the other guys, or they release him and let him play elsewhere," Berthelsen said. "They can't keep him in limbo like this, it is a breach of their contract with him. As long as he is under contract with the Tennessee Titans he has the right to be at the facility with the other players preparing for the 2006 season and regular season."

We look like stoopid hicks... thanks Bud.

Imo we should release McNair as late as possible. If you read the Baltimore papers it sounds like they are waiting for Steves release, its almost like they already have talked and probably agreed on a contract. We play Baltimore in Nov. and should do nothing to help them. The later he gets there the longer it will take for him to learn the offense and get timing down. I am a McNair fan and hope we find a way to keep him but I hope we never do anything to make Billicks job easier.

We're not doing anything anytime soon. Cook keeps saying the titans haven't sent him any offers. If it's true, it's true because we're in no hurry and nothing is going to happen until after the draft.

Sounds like a Monty Python skid.

"Look, matey, I know a dead parrot when I see one, and I'm looking at one right now."

"No no he's not dead, he's, he's restin'! Remarkable bird, the Norwegian Blue, idn'it, ay? Beautiful plumage!"

Well since these workouts are voluntary and some players dont show up ( Bulluck) isnt it just the opposite if the Titans dont let him workout? Would that be wrong?

We are going to draft Young and with that move McNair will renogotiate his contract for 2 more years guaranteed and after those years Young willl start for us, but if Mac gets hurt maybe he could start sooner.

I hope you are right Mex#1TitanFan on both counts, if so it could be a great 5 or 6 years at the least. This would give us the best chance of winning this year and into the future.

Not to mention the huge McNair rally that would occur if he announced he was going to re-structure in order to mentor Young.
Heck yeah man...I'll throw a parade ......and invite Ewker.

Ithink that is the way is going to happen because if the Titans draft Leinart Mac is gone and we have to wait until the draft to figure out what is the future for our team but I agree with you Mac give us the best chance to win in the short period of time and Young in the future, besides Young is the type of QB that the franchise is looking for, look at McNair, we had the opportunity in 1995 of drafting the "best QB" in Kerry Collins, and look now he is cleaning toilets in McDonalds, I hope that FO follow that hunch and draft VY he is the best athlete at QB right now and a double threat, Leinart is not.

In a perfect world the Titans could somehow get Hawk and Cutler, but it ain't gonna happen. So hopefully Titans will get to pick between the 3 QBs at 1.3 I would be happy with Young or Leinhart at 1.3 so I will just believe in whoever the Titans take at that position, unless it is a 5'6" CB with legal and attitude problems then I reserve the right to be unhappy with the selection.
