  • I hate potentially giving the Mahomes another Superbowl - That would suck
  • Think they were desperate - Should have been a 3rd. The pick is so late round what will it turn into, probably nothing.
  • But in the end, it had to be done. He's a dead man walking and lame duck piece.
 
We're going nowhere this year and Hopkins would have been gone after this season anyway. Might as well get some draft capital. We need as many draft picks as we can get.

Keep in mind, Jarvis Brownlee was a 5th round pick and he's contributing more than most of these high dollar so called play makers. Plus, you can package lower picks together to move up if needed to grab someone you really like. This is a smart move however you slice it. It just sucks that it confirms our season this year is already over.

This is one of the many reasons I'm blaming the offensive Scheme.

I disagree on Hopkins proving he had something left.
1k receiving in TN is not small accomplishment.
Hopkins is in an exclusive club since the move to Nashville:

Mason, Bennett, wright, Washington, Walker, brown, Hopkins.
7 guys in 25 years.

Brownlee has done well, I hope he can keep it up.
If I recall, Fulton looked good for a season or at least reasonable.

They literally just pissed away 2 seasons and currently a 3rd, if they are “rebuilding” next year.

Ridley, Big Jeff, Sneed, and probably Pollard are stuck here because of the contracts. They’re not going anywhere.
