Weaver's production dipped once Autry was injured and Big Jeff was dinged up. Landry is coming back from a major injury, gonna be interesting.

Dont love the dead cap hit but this was the last big cut everyone was wondering would they do it or not. Defence seemed to play better when he was out there despite his lack of production. Missed a lot of time though which sucks. We gotta hope Landry doesn't miss a beat but its likely gonna take him a few games to shake rust off

Surely we are going to designate him as post June 1. Dead cap would be 4.5 million at that point.
if we dont he has 0 dead cap beyond this year though... free agency is weak this year. wouldnt be that crazy of an idea to just rip the bandaid off this year and go on a bit of a spending spree next.

Pre June 1st cut means all the cap hits this year. It resets June 1st so essentially part of the cap hit is pushed on to next years books.
What he is saying is take the hit now and next year the books are clean from Dupree.
Still wouldn’t do it because it’s less wasted money. A bigger savings this year and a small hit next year. There is a 6 million dollar differential by doing the June 1 cut.
