Here's my first-round projection for the 2006 NFL draft. I put this list together by taking a look at the general area where each player should go, then placing the player on a team where he filled one of that particular team's top three needs.
In this projection, there are 17 underclassmen in the first round, with Reggie Bush and Vince Young leading the way as the first and third picks of the draft. This is my first projection, but it won't be my last of this season. I will submit another first-round projection after the Senior Bowl, followed by one after the NFL Combine.

Cutler to Detroit. Interesting. I never thought about that one, but it is very possible

Yeah Marcus McNeil for one. There will also be some good DE's and RB's left.
I'm not a big fan of any lineman over 340 or so lbs (especially tackles).
I wouldn't be surprised to see us trade down with a team like Green Bay or NYJ and take Cutler, while picking up a third round pick too.
The Jets would take Young but Green Bay doesn't need a QB. Fisher and Reese may have a higher grade on Cutler. Just food for thought.

I think it depends who goes 1 and 2.
If Bush is there, no way we trade down.
But if we are not happy with Young based on from whatever happens here on in, then we may trade down.
i like the way you think.KobeChaz said:It would leave this BEAST!

Wasnt Max (now that is a lineman name) meant to be a first rounder?
even the best guards rarely go in the first round.Gunny said:Wasnt Max (now that is a lineman name) meant to be a first rounder?
If we do take a QB with our first pick. I think we will definetly be looking to add a S or LB with our 2nd pick.

i would love laron landry(s lsu) or demeco ryans(slb bama) in the second, but if the #1 guard is there, i dont know if you can pass him up.
i don't think minnesota needs another running back, dont they have like 17 of them lol
but i guess you can't pass up lendale white...
