So I’ve never been that interested in college sports in general.
Wondering if anyone in these forums is a hardcore supporter of a certain college?
I live in California where no one cares about college teams whatsoever - and I can’t get behind those cream sickle orange uniforms and the fact that Manning played at Tennessee; and Vanderbilt is just mehhh ...
Randomly picking the Georgia Bulldogs ️ to hopefully get me into following more college.
Anyone else out there a Dawgs fan ?

THE University of Tennessee
That’s right, Titans and Vols.
I live a joyless sports existence.

Not hard core as I am the NFL but love that of UT Volunteers got to root for the home town team.
Wouldn't exactly say Im a college fan, but the first major sporting event I ever went to was Army v Navy. And it was a lot more electric than most NFL games Ive attended.
Penn State. I watch the games that are on and follow the players, but I probably spend 5 or 10 times as much time following the Titans.

I've been to a lot of NFL games and I don't think I can describe any as "electric". The rivalries just aren't there like in college. And it was a lot more electric than most NFL games Ive attended.

agreed. I hated to admit it, but there is so much more passion in college football...
Student sections and the crowd as a whole alike... People will get hoarse and sick even (cold games) yelling and screaming to bring up the decibel level...
NFL can't even shine a light to it -- and that's not counting weak fan based teams...
The NFL has done a lot to make their games family friendly. But Id call a lot of NFL playoff games electric.I've been to a lot of NFL games and I don't think I can describe any as "electric". The rivalries just aren't there like in college.
Title games for the home crowd after a win is pretty damn wild.

There is more of a connection to the community with college I think. Plus, teams do not move.
In college, one loss and you need help to win it all. Two loses and you're done. NFL you can be champions with as many as 7 losses in the season. Each game just means more in college that why folks super amped in the games when the two teams more evenly matched.
Born in Georgia- dad played basketball there and my mom was a majorette. Grew up in house cheering for UGA. But I've lived in Alabama for all but one year of my life. Lived in Tuscaloosa for few years- my family went to Alabama. Cheer for both teams. Honestly don't care who wins head to head as long as they can be national champs.
