Is a 9-7 season that impressive? No.
Is averaging 9 wins a season over 5 years that impressive? Not really.
However, going into the year, only 4 teams in the league had winning records the last 4 years. And the Patriots are on the verge of dropping off the list, currently sitting at 6-7.
I do think that is impressive, especially given that they only won a combined 5 games the previous two years and they only had 5 winning seasons from 2002-2015.

Yes. However a 9 win season means just that 9 wins. If we lose the rest of the games....will you be impressed? 9 and 7 coming out of a 3 and 13 season....I would be impressed....however 5 years in a row....not really.
