Beckham had his chance....he looked ready to step into the starting role, but once he got there, he was overwhelmed.
Kinda sucks, too, 'cuz I was really pulling for him, and thought he was really solid as a backup. But when they gave him the starting role last year, he looked simply awful.

Beckham has only started 3 games the last two years. He didn't play that bad. Heck in the Pitt game everyone sucked and our D couldn't tackle little bo peep. His problem is he can only play on the outside and isn't very good on special teams.
I'd take him back if he's been to any form of tackling camp, seminar or even online session from the University of Phoenix. That was his biggest problem. He's actually not a liability in coverage, but boy when it comes to tackling...Joe Nedney was a better tackler.

Deron actually had a pretty good season last year. He led the team with 85 tackles, and had 4 INTs. I think a lot of the bashing of him by Kats fans was residual griping from his year with the Titans.
