Burks reminds you of Haywood Jeffires? :disappointed:
His first 2 seasons he sucked , balled out after that.

Well they have sucking their first 2 seasons in common. Now if he can stick around for 7 more years and get about 5k more yards and 46 more TDs, we can make the comparison. His first 2 seasons he sucked , balled out after that.
Michael Irving, too. But highly highly highly unlikely that comp comes to fruition. His first 2 seasons he sucked , balled out after that.
Jimmy smith is a pretty good comp should he turn out to be anything. Smith had a year in Dallas doing nothing, 2 years of N/A play and his first year in Jax was weak. After Brunell really took over, smith blew up.Michael Irving, too. But highly highly highly unlikely that comp comes to fruition.
If Burks can be serviceable at all and maybe a consistent 3rd down possession WRs, I'll take it.
Burks is from a bygone era. There used to be a time when WRs in the NFL were not expected to do much till like year 3. Took the longest to develop.

Wheezy inspiring fansI guess we will see this upcoming season. Gonna be a lot of fired make believe GMs when Burks has a breakout season under the new staff in a true passing offense. Why anyone would have expected a WR to prosper or develop in a run first bad OC bad QB offense is beyond me.
If Burks cant get it together in 2024 he is dead.

Don't see how that happens at this point. Barring injury and even if he takes NWI's spot, how many snaps is he realistically looking at?I guess we will see this upcoming season. This should answer your question. Bengals #4Don't see how that happens at this point. Barring injury and even if he takes NWI's spot, how many snaps is he realistically looking at?
Wheezy had more opportunities to show his worth than he has earned
Well, we watched DHop get 1k with all those same issues, so yeah, he has squandered his opportunities. Even NWI has shown more than Burks with the same issues and not being a 1st round pick with all the advantages coming with that.Burks may be a bust and never be a even a decent NFL player. But the above statement couldn't be more incorrect. AGAIN... Bad QB play, Historical bad O-line, Bad OCs. How would any WR do well in that scenario? on a Vrabel Titans team there were only so many WR chances. AJ Brown leaves the Titans and has basically 400 more yards a season. The Titans have been a team WR go to and die. Not a great place in the past to develop WRs.
Id give him 1 more year in a passing offense. If he fails he fails. but then we have a good idea why.

His most memorable catches are the 2 catches he got knocked out on.
One was a TD (yes his only TD) so I'd say it was a catchTo me, Burks just doesn't look the part of a #1 NFL receiver even when he is on the field. His most memorable catches are the 2 catches he got knocked out on. Can't recall if either were actually catches. Lol Other than that, he just doesn't look like anything special.
