SUMMARY: The Tennessee Titans have waived 20 players and two more will be announced later today to reach the NFL-mandated 53 player limit. The following players have been released: TE Ben Hall, TE Jamie Petrowski, C Joel Rodriguez, G Cody Douglas, G Mike Erickson, T Brad Rhoades, WR Grant Mattos, DE Sean Conover, DE Tim Thompson, DT Jeff Littlejohn, DE Copeland Bryan, DT Chris Herring, CB Keon Raymond, QB Matt Mauck, FB Troy Fleming, WR Tyrone Calico, RB Quinton Ganther, LB Terna Nande, DB Antoine Harris, LB Marcus Randall.

You're right, odd that Randall is axed, and others who have been as invisible as Nande are not... must have shown something at practice that we're not privy to.

We’re going to be active as far as trades are concerned. There have been years in the past when I’ve said this is the group we’re going to war with, this is not the case (this year). We’re going to continue to try to upgrade this roster."

Fleming can be pretty good. They must think he's not coming back from his injury and gonna be 100%

Calico...Just a sad case...needed more glue on his hands...somebody will pick him up

Don't know much about Nande

I think they hold on to Volek, but not for long...Both sides are looking for a trade IMO
 
I would like to see Payton make the team, I just don't know where he fits. If we traded Henry or Brown maybe then. It sucks for Troy, but Hall played well and Troy was hurt. It won't make much difference, but we probably save a small amount of money keeping Hall over Fleming. And FB isn't very important on a team with so many good TE's.

They need to find a way to keep Payton, this kid deserves it. Nothing but class, just a good kid. can he go to the practice squad ?
 
some big players cut today; Chad Lavalais, Curtis Deloatch, Hanik Milligan, Carlos Hall, Junior Siavii, Ross Tucker, Montavious Stanley, Pete Hunter, Robert McCune, Matt Ware were the most notable that I saw.
 
So Gardner, Guenther, and Orr are the most likely to get cut next? That's what Kuharsky's Tennessean piece says. He's pretty reliable.
I hope they cut Gardner soon...
 
I'd love a way to keep Payton, but I am pretty sure his practice squad eligibility is over now. He was on it for a full year two years ago right? Then he started last year on the PS.

That was my point, I know he was on the practice squad at one time and i wasnt sure the rules about going back or even if there were rules.
