So this is fun

Not meant to be a comment on this year's QBs. It's just funny to see how off the mark they were with Malik Willis and Brock Purdy.

I'm in the minority but I still think Willis has potential. He was put in an awful situation which was only made worse by our coaches.

Hope you're right
Potential to do what?I'm in the minority but I still think Willis has potential. He was put in an awful situation which was only made worse by our coaches.
Burn cap space and waste a roster spot for two more years while he tries to learn the position. This off-season will tell us how serious he is. If he works with a QB specialist or goes to Disney we will have a decent idea of his growth potential. However, Ran may not be impressed with him and go after a different guy to develop. He’s JR’s guy, so no guarantee he sticks.Potential to do what?

100% Titans should draft a QB day 3... zero reason to retain mw7Burn cap space and waste a roster spot for two more years while he tries to learn the position. I think he has potential to be better than he is currently. It’s almost impossible not to.Burn cap space and waste a roster spot for two more years while he tries to learn the position. that said, because he’s such garbage, even if he somehow improves enough to hangout after 4 years, he’s not eating much cap space. Pretty sure that’s why Woodside hung out like he did, cheap.
Oh, and if I remember the draft day threads, Willis “STEAL” in the 3rd.
agreed, hard not to be pleased with that pick... until mw7 played
then it was 'only preseason' and 'no game plans'...
then it was championship season ... but it was all the exact same hot garbage

I know Dobbs gave us a better chance to win but the it would've been nice to see Willis in those games used how Dobbs was
I think it’s obvious the reason Willis wasn’t used that way is because he couldn’t do it.I know Dobbs gave us a better chance to win but the it would've been nice to see Willis in those games used how Dobbs was
I'd agree if in that awful situation he showed ANY indication of being ANYTHING other than terrible. He showed terrible play after play.I'm in the minority but I still think Willis has potential. He was put in an awful situation which was only made worse by our coaches.
Purdy vs Willis
As Brock Purdy soars, why did Malik Willis crash with Tennessee Titans?
Purdy plays with the NFL's best left tackle, a top-3 tight end, and two top-20 receivers. Willis played behind two of the NFL's 10 worst tackles and, because of injury, he never completed a pass to rookie Treylon Burks, the Titans' most reliable receiver.

Very small samples and hugely different scenarios.
Willis would have looked better with 49ers and Purdy like us with Titans.

I was thinking earlier today, I would like to see him in the preseason after a change at OC and OL coach. I dont have a lot of faith in his likelihood of being an NFL starter, but still.I'm in the minority but I still think Willis has potential. I absolutely want him to have that opportunity. It will cost nothing to do it either.I was thinking earlier today, I would like to see him in the preseason after a change at OC and OL coach. I dont have a lot of faith in his likelihood of being an NFL starter, but still.
Down to 3 games and I want starters to actually get some reps, but I don’t see a whole lot of QB competition going on.
Willis sucks. Not accurate. Low football IQ. Not that fast. Doesn’t have a winners attitude. No potential. Move along.

"Oh it's preseason". "Oh it's his first start" "Oh he doesn't have any help".
Excuse after excuse as to why Willis is terrible. But I think he's terrible just because he is. Watch the guy play and there is ZERO indication of him being anything. Take out every other factor and he just doesn't look the part. If there was something there, it would show even in bad circumstances.
I don't know that I've seen fans and media hold on to so much hope for such a bad player, ever. Lol It's so weird.
