Not making a comparison, but I wonder how the Chief fans felt when they traded up for Mahomes. Alex Smith was coming off a solid season and they made the playoffs. The following year Smith looked even better and probably made the Mahomes pick look bad. Looking at it now though, it doesn't look like they gave up a lot by today's standards.
Obviously Mahomes is a generational gem, and we are way more likely to draft a bust than a HOFer, but the situations between us and Chiefs at that point are pretty similar.
Mahomes had the college stats to make it worth a trade up. I'm sure Chief fans were very excited to have Mahomes as their QB of the future and never questioned it.

Exactly… trying to compare Richardson to Mahomes coming out of college is a joke… Mahomes put up great numbers for 3 yrs while Richardson didn’t put up great numbers during his lone season as a starter

It's been reported we held a private meeting with Stroud back in March. Didn't make it clear if it was at his pro day or not, but I think that's the assumption. Not sure why Walter Football hasn't listed it, but it also says we've met with Daniel Wright and Darnell Wright from Tennessee when there is no Daniel Wright at tackle in this draft.
The fact that Stroud and Bryce are not on this list tells me we are not trading up to 3. (Unless this is wrong and we have met with them)
It will be OL, WR, or QB at 11.
I agree that a trade back is likely the best case scenario, but there may not be a good deal available
