- Takes elevator to 1600 ft. has to climb rest of the way
- At the top of the tower is a poll with a flimsy ladder he climbs without safety equipment
- The last part of the poll does not even have a ladder, he has to climb a cage
- The very last part, the antenna, is a 60 foot climb up these long bolts
I got nausea just watching that.

That one ladder the guy is climbing with no safety rope is really sketchy. I would not climb up that if it was 10 feet up never mind 1600 feet up.
Why not a helicopter to at least get up there or to get down?
They use them on other towers and power lines.
Maybe it is so high. Winds are probably erratic.
If I had to climb up I'm base jumping down.
I think climbing down would be worse than going up.
For sure going down would be worse. Probably how most of them end up falling.
IDK about helicopters. For one it would cost a lot more. You have to pay for the helicopter, fuel and pilot. Plus you have to be really careful with a helicopter around those towers. Wind blows you the wrong way and the rotor hits the tower and you crash. Plus they are funkin loud. I live by a hospital and every once in a while an air ambulance comes in. So loud.
