Kramer actually broke his ankle in this scene. If you notice when he comes in the door his ankle nearly cracks in half. They had to delay on shooting for a while. Kinda sick hearing the bone snap into pieces. I cant believe he actually finished the scene

I'd say they cut the scene soon after he did it and went back for the final parts of it later.
Many actors/actresses have done similar things. Not anymore suprising or amazing then athletes who allow thier skills and dedication to take over in game when injured. There was an old stage actor named Harold Thomas in NYC who had old-timers disease. He would go through an entire show not missing a single Q or piece of blocking. Walking offstage after the bow he wouldn't know what year it was or his cast members surrounding him. But he wouldn't miss his curtain call the next day.
