Nobody told you not to be a fan. However looking at how we match up against the chiefs in week 4 when we clearly wouldn’t see them until January is ridiculous.

fan 2: “ I havent even thought about that at all because they arent on our 16 game schedule, and it’s September. I watched the game and it never crossed my mind. you really shouldnt be thinking or talking about such things.”

If you have any hope or faith in your team making the playoffs or doing well then absolutely you look at other teams, whether you play them or not.
The team itself shouldn't be looking ahead but as a fan I take interest in it.

Problem with this thinking, you give up in week 4 because you think they are unstoppable.
it’s a long season and who knows what happen. If we meet them in the playoffs, you don’t know if the team that is fielded now for us or them, will be the same team we see at that time. Hell, Covid is going to make the season seem even longer.
it’s fine to think like this for a week or 3 out for opponents, not really that far out though.
I dont see a team in the league that is built to beat KC. We beat them last year with a Mahomes that was on a bad wheel and it still took a crazy kicking error by them to make it happen.
They just have their way with teams and I’m not sure they lose more than 1 or 2 games this year, if that.

We did get screwed with Manning in our division, but I'm happy to avoid Wilson, Rogers, Brees, and even Warner back in the day.
I said it since the offseason, we should resign Woodyard if nothing else, for his leadership on a year we lose our DC, ILB Coach, and DB coach who brought the energy to the sideline. He's still out there and I think Compton is a liability.

There is no question they come to this site for motivation and guidance. There must be about 75 NFL quality coaches, scouts, and former players with insight to borrow.

Every team is going to study the first half against Mahomes vs Patriots to the PERIOD... That's about as well as you can get, without having supreme pass rushers ( like Pittsburgh)
They did well second half too but you can’t lose the TO battle and give Mahomes extra opportunities specially with a short field.
