Butler is likely gone after the season. Gilmore is better. I’d be fine making him the player in that deal.

No way in hell am I involving a first or second round pick though.
How about Butler and a 3rd & 6th?
Although, I'm not sure Bill wants Butler back.

Gilmore for $7 million next season. He makes the Titans a legit super bowl contender this year and next. I doubt we are going to get someone in round 1 that gives us that same value.

Id definitely consider a 1st. But y’all are crazy if you think the Patriots would want Butler lol they are trying to shed cap. They aren’t going to want Davis either. They want a cost controlled young player they can develop. Bill was bitching about their cap space yesterday. Why the hell would they trade for Butler? He makes basically the same amount as Gilmore.

However, now that we have King we definitely aren’t making this move. Adoree has to come back this week or he’s done for the year per the new IR rules. So it’ll be butler Adoree on the outside and King inside.

Coming back and playing 80-90% of the snaps on defense are a different thing. I'm hoping he's 100% but Vrabel may have to ease him back in which means we'll still see plenty of Joseph.

Players I'd be willing to let go for Gilmore would be humphries, Panda and Beasley...

Beasley, Humphries and 4th rd pick
Panda and 3rd rd pick
Humphries and (2) 3rd rd picks

Unless you are giving up a sweet draft pick with some of these players being listed, no way would anyone as savvy as the Patriots go for it.

I originally thought Cory Davis would be prime for trade bait but he's been solid and I wouldn't be surprised if JRob tries to work out a longterm deal.

Absolutely correct. Bill would laugh at the players and picks mentioned above. They are looking for a 1st and a young player they can develop

Yeah agreed. I’m sure he will be on a snap count.

I think they will roll with the hot hand of Chris Jackson, Joseph, or Tye on the outside.

The Pats do desperately need WR help. Maybe a CD lowers the draft pick.
I also like CD and he’s playing well, but it’s a pick your poison scenario if the Pats are willing to wheel and deal.
We do still have Brown and Raymond until hump comes back

I don’t think Belicheck would even consider getting Butler back. There is probably still some bad blood there. There is also no way the Patsies get a first round pick for Gilmore. But I have seen teams do dumber things in trades. Gilmore seems to be getting a lot of attention, so some team will probably overpay to get him. I would love to have him as a Titan but not for a ridiculous price!

They're asking for a 1st in hopes of getting at least a 2nd or 3rd. No one is going to give up a 1st for him since he's unhappy with his contract.

A first and a new contract for a 30 year old CB? No thanks.

This. The whole point for NE is cap relief moving forward.
