Titans Talk - Home for all things Tennessee Titans

Watching the opening preseason game doesn't really inspire me, but really, these preseason games are really just glorified practices for the Titans. We don't even get to see most of the regulars. As for the regular season, I hope for the best.

"but Tanny is QB". Yeah, 30-13 in TN and the Titans record has gotten better every year with him.
13 of those wins were game winning drives or comebacks, btw. So he's been pretty clutch.

If the defense picks up where they left off, Henry is even half the RB we know he can be and Tannehill/WRs can be decent, no reason to think the Titans don't continue the streak of getting in the playoffs.

With that said, there's a reason the games are played...anything can happen. Even the best teams on paper aren't always the best teams on the field. There's also surprise teams every year that outperform who everyone thinks they are.

The strength of our OL is Run blocking, so I wouldn't read much into the PFF rankings. Everyone on the OL seems to run block better than they pass block. J. Jones and Brewer both were solid run blockers last year and Brewer was really good in 2020. Radunz was also solid at run blocking, albeit in a pretty limited role.

The main worry will be pass blocking. Jones, Brewer, and Radunz all received pretty awful pass blocking grades in 2021. Hopefully Radunz is up to the task and everyone can stay relatively healthy.

One major flaw of PFF, is they are blind eye grading ---- they do not understand the straight on concept that is trying to be achieved during a play and drives.

I used to follow them, but now anytime I see a reference from them, I just keep scrolling

Hooper is an upgrade over Firkser. Woods has caught more passes than AJ Brown in all but one year since brown has been in the league. Had he not gotten injured 9 games into the season last year, it would have been all 3 seasons Brown has played. He even did it in 2019 and 2020 with Goff as his qb.

The passing offense should be as productive as last season. If not more so. The Titans were the number 1 seed in the playoffs even after starting a record 90 different players throughout the season. It’s yet to be seen how full, or empty the glass is…

Downings Syndrome is not easily conquered... usually takes fire but we all know Vrable wont do that

he’s been so bad this preseason, ugh

Well, thinking about it, Willis probably is their best shot because in 22 years the Titans have been in Nashville, only 1 SB appearance and it was with a scrambling QB. Willis reminding me of McNair, he might be the best chance of getting the Titans back to the SB.

That was because of Eddie and the D not McNair
