A QB from a weak class in RD 1?
A tiny WR in RD 3?
And another guy with the last name Woods catching balls?

Pass-a-roo.

I’m on board with Flowers and Kelly. And I think people are dead wrong about Howell. In the 3rd we can take a speedster. If have some 6+ ft dudes now who can’t separate, so I don’t care if he is Tyreek Hill sized and a blazer. Why not take a giant TE in the fourth?

I don't see us drafting at QB at 26...is there one that can be Tannehill's replacement in a year or two?
I think it's OL or WR...I've been reading good things about Bailey Zappe...maybe a late round pick?

I don’t think they take him at 26 either. If they draft a QB, it’s either part of a trade down or someone like Strong in the 5th or 6th.

I meant Zappe in the late rounds ..I think if we go QB in Round 1 he has to be seen as a starter in a year or 2

Saw an interview with Zappe on NFLN and got excited when they kept raving about his college numbers. Until I checked his scouting report … yah he’s nothing more than a 3rd stringer. No way he’s the starter and if he’s the starter in Tennessee then we’re dead last. He may be a good kid but he’s not an NFL starter caliber by all accounts I’m reading on various places.

“Developmental” QBs never become high quality starters. There is pretty much no point in ever drafting a QB in the mid to late rounds unless you’re looking to upgrade your backup. Period.

I don’t think Zappe will ever be more than a back up. I don’t mind him with a 6th, but no high expectations. I actually do belief Howell could start in year 2.

I’d love to see Trader Jon trade out of #26 and use the spoils to get both a WR and OL but, if the Titans stay at #26, he can go BPA between WR, OL or possibly Edge.

I don’t see QB happening. The window is not going to stay open forever so he needs to find someone who is going to make the team better THIS season.

I keep seeing this "it's a weak QB class" argument used to justify us not taking a QB. The strength of the class doesn't matter, it's the players that will be available to us. If we had last year's class and 3 QBs went in the first 3 picks, it would be seen as a stronger class but that doesn't impact the Titans at all, because they have no shot at those guys anyway. That doesn't make the QBs below them any better/worse.

I don't necessarily want to go QB in the 1st, but I'm warming up to the idea and am starting to think it's pretty likely. But it will be about the specific player we draft, not whether or not there were other good QBs in the draft with him.

Hard to know if JR believes Tannehill has maxed out his potential or not. If deep inside he believes RT is holding them back, then I can see a QB. But, who knows. The only one I would take out of the entire bunch is Howell, but not sure I would do that at 26. We need more picks than we have. The Jones trade is turning out to be a bigger disaster than we first thought.

The thing is, the 5th drafted QB in 2021 (mac Jones) would be the QB1 in this class. Not dismissing the rest of your argument, but this is definitely a weak class.

Well the Winston/Mariotta and the Wentz/ Goff classes turned out to be pretty weak. The scouts and talking heads get QB wrong more than any other position.

My main issue with most of these QBs is that they have hardly ever taken snaps under center…Henry is not the perfect RPO type rb…so taking one in the 1st not only tells Tanny he is gone, but also puts a timeline on Henry…I reload to help Tanny and King succeed….if they can’t get it done then you start looking to replace both…Building the OL now not only gives Our current guys the best chance to be productive but a good OL and running game is certainly helpful for our young QB of the future.

This year's QBs aren't going to replace Tannehill...so this is the way to go....trade down and go OL and WR.

The closer this gets the more I’m thinking Kenyon Green is the pick.

gotta feeling a good WR will be there and they’ll pass. Won’t be a QB with the window still open and assuming Zion is off the board.
