I need to be edumacated in a bunch of things :)

I'm loathe to be introduced to anyone's music through video... too much unneeded distractions and other things to bias my opinion.

What's a good STP CD to rip?
 
The Video isn't STP. It's more of the new stuff the 'kids' are listening to.

STP have a greatest hits CD titled Thank You. For a little extra I'd buy the version with the bonus DVD. It contains every video & loads of bonus footage like in recording studio playing Wichita Lineman with Glen Campbell. Loads of live footage.

They wrote the theme song for the 1st Spiderman flick only to see it get dropped for that Chad Kroeger crap.Criminal. Here it is set to World of Warcraft.

I won't buy a greatest hits album... I'm a snob like that :yes:

Taking Black Sunday sounded like a million tunes I've heard before... and then suddenly I was Astley'd ... you *******! :)

The STP song sounded pretty good on first impression. Recommend a studio album to me and I'll check 'em out.
 
Their 2nd album Purple is the most new fan friendly. The 1st disc Core is great but a little harder & not as polished. The 3rd disc ,Songs from the Vatican Gift Shop is a Bowie-esque concept type album. Definitely drug inspired lyrics.

No:4 is a mixture of those 3 styles.Their last disc Shangrila Dee Da was as strong as the others. I like them all but I'd say go with Purple.
