Football is played in other countries just not very well. I here even australia has a league. :ha:

There is competition, every year there is a competition in QLD where American state teams come out and play each other or some Aussie state teams.
And how would you know it isnt played very well? Some Aussie state teams have beaten American state teams - not often, but it has happened.
If the countries outside the USA had proper coaching, proper league set up etc there would be challenges.
But that is neither here nor there. You're not a world champion when you play a sport in one country.

I agree with you completly about the coaching. American style football a specialized sport and for good or bad pre teens get slotted into positions and there they are for ever. I think the biggest hurdle the rest of the world faces when it comes to American football is the coaching/specialization.

I played a few years ago and I was 15 then playing against players who were had finished High School but did not get a college scholarship (I played Idaho East and New Mexico state teams but it seemed like every state had at least one team there), how the state teams were pick I do not know. I guess they held a try out or offer places to seniors in high school who did not get a college scholarship.
But Ahman Green did play in the tournament years ago.
definately, especially when you have so many position coaches. We don't get the specialised coaching positions.
Last season our coach (he was american and played at WKU a few years ago) was bewildered about how different it was compared to the US and it is hard to teach guys ranging from 17 - 38 techniques on football in a short period of time.
