Is dethklock that really :grrr::grrr::grrr::grrr:e metal band? I've wondered this for a while. I can't remember the name of the band that I think is behind it, but they're terrible- metally...uhh...

Cant think of the name. I assume there's an actual band that does their music.

The music of Dethklok is done almost exclusively by Brendon Small, the creator of the shows Metalocalypse and Home Movies. He does the vocals, guitar, bass guitar, and keyboards for the music on the show.

My three year-old daughter's favorite song...

Home movies was great. Metalocalypse was cool for about 3 episodes.

Dethklok is one dude.. Brendan Small a Queen obsessed Juliard grad. He writes and plays all the music as well as many of the details of the cartoon itself - voices, writing etc..

In the summer of 1976 I was 11 years old. I've always remembered being hooked on a pop tune that I thought was called Blue Jeans. Through the years I've always remembered the lyrics and melody, but as I didn't know the artist I couldn't really find out any other info. I was just surfing around tonight and after not thinking about it in years, out of nowhere, that stupid tune pops into my head again. Now with the magical powers of the interwebz at my fingertips a 30 + year mystery has been solved.

Without further adieu I give you this slight, fairly awful, bubble gum pop diddy that captivated an 11 yeal old for one summer many, many years ago (and then tormented me for years afterwards).

(just one small video in the "what song are you playing" thread... but one giant leap for my brain).

PS: you have to love the songs you recall from childhood... even after not hearing this frickin POS tune in literally decades I could sing along for nearly the entire song. Ouch.

I had one of those kinds of songs as well as a kid. "Steal Away" by Robbie Dupree. The only youtube vid I could find of it has been weirded up by Japanimation. Fuh-reak-y.
