SUMMARY: Major Adams, the agent for Vince Young, will arrive in town will meet with Titans GM Floyd Reese and vows to remain in town until a deal is completed for his client. "I'm pretty confident we'll get it done," Major Adams said. "I'll be in Nashville on Thursday, and then I'll stay until it's done." He is hopeful a deal can be reached before the Titans open training camp no July 28. Adams has studied the contract of Alex Smith, the QB who was the top overall pick last year, who signed a six-year, $49.5 million contract before last season that could be worth up to $57 million with incentives and included $24 million in guaranteed money. "But it's just for a guide," Adams said of the Smith deal. "Vince has certain attributes that he has. We have to incorporate certain things for his contract." The first player taken in the draft, Mario Williams, received a six-year deal valued at $54 million guaranteeing him $26.5 million.

Maybe because she had already ripped his heart out through his throat and stomped on it like a flameing bag of poop, and laughed as his whole world and everything he believed in imploded upon his wretched shell of a being, leaving him a bitter, baggage carrying, souless walking zombie with his best years gone and with nothing no one could ever care for again.

Maybe he will get it figured out.

getting a little personal? or are you really emo? :ha:

Fortunately, there are a couple of significant differences between VY's negotiations and the Pacman deal last year:

1) Last year, #1 pick Alex Smith didn't sign until a day or two before camp, forcing almost every first-round pick into a waiting game. This year, Mario Williams has already been under contract for two months....now it's just a matter of hammering out details.

2) In 2005, Pacman had already been in trouble a number of times before negotiations even started; as a result, the Titans had to come up with verbiage that covered their investment in case Pacman remained a loose cannon. Vince Young has been the polar opposite of Pacman...very high character, very team-oriented, and determined to be in camp on time.
