Just got back from Deadpool. Enjoyed the movie but really question the long game for the character, he started to wear me out a bit towards the end with his personality. He'll get a sequel but hopefully after that we see him in small doses.
While that wasn't the case for me I can certainly understand where you're coming from. I will honestly be shocked if the sequel can hold a candle to this one. I just think a big part of the "wow factor" was simply seeing the character translated so well to the big screen. So the sequel won't really have that initial surprise factor going for it. But I do think this was a really well done movie for a variety of reasons so we'll see. The sequel very well could be great.

WTF!!!!

Ugh... I suck at looking out for this stuff. Always miss the good ones.

Although not sure how his stand-up would be?

Pretty damn good. It was audience engaging where he conversed and had bits with the crowd. His comedy is sort of philosophical comedyish. Dunno it was a good time tho.

It was a one night only thing and was early show before Nikki glazer (who has a show about to start on Comedy Central). She came out and they did 30 minutes together which was pretty great.

Just imagine the same movie without the full frontal and overtly sexual jokes. It is a Marvel movie. Nothing different. You can act like you aren't 13, but what drew you to the movie is what draws 13 year olds to movies. Just be real.
I haven't seen it yet, but this seems to be the consensus.

"Deadpool wasn't that. Deadpool was its own thing," Gunn continued. "THAT'S what people are reacting to. It's original, it's damn good, it was made with love by the filmmakers, and it wasn't afraid to take risks." Gunn, currently hard at work on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, was particularly frustrated by a quote from a Hollywood executive, who said in a Deadline post that the Ryan Reynolds–starring snarkfest succeeded because it was "poking fun at Marvel." Gunn wrote in response: "What do you think Favreau and Downey did in Iron Man? What the fuck was Ant-Man??!"

Deadpool just isn't a comic character that gets me interested. His comics are boring, but I did sell his first appearance in New Mutants 98 for $100. So I like him for that.

I've always thought that character was waaaaaaaayyyyyy overrated. Which is why I was so surprised that I loved the movie as much as I did.

It's been going for quite a bit more than that since the movie got announced... assuming it was in nice condition of course. Most mainstream 90's comics are worthless because that was the height of collecting as a hobby and there were huge print runs. But that 1st appearance of Deadpool as well as 1st Harley Quinn are both really valuable.

Just got the Amazon Firestick the other day for $39 (basically a thumbdrive that goes on back of TV), I downloaded KODI TV on to the stick and it pretty much gives you access to tons of movies that are on servers.

I highly reccomend this and it is a cheap investment. All you need is WIFI and the purchase of the Stick.
