Titans Looking at Robaire Smith

SUMMARY: The Titans are taking with the agent representing DT Robaire Smith who was released over the weekend by the Texans. "We’ve talked again [Monday], but there are still a couple other teams interested as well," agent Michael Harrison said. "I think it’ll be a day or two before something happens." Titans Coach Jeff Fisher said that he expects the competition to sign Smith will be fierce. "We’ve had some injuries on the defensive line, but a lot of teams have," Fisher said. "There are a lot of teams, I’m sure, that will be interested in a starting defensive tackle like Robaire."

The Titans should treat former players the way I treat former boyfriends.....remember that you got rid of them for a reason.

You spent all their money?

:neener: :neener: :neener:

I think we should pick him up ASAP, but hopefully Reese will manage the cap better instead of signing players to make believe contracts with no intent to pay them

Adding Smith would help at DE as well. He could slide outside in short yardage run situations.

Oh yeah. i so want him back. Starks will be better without the pressure of starting. If we solidify our Line we will have can be a very good D.

So let us say for hope's sake we are able to bring in Robaire...

Who gets cut?
A WR... Williams? A LB... Reynolds? DL... Odom....? A newbie......?

Can we delay the announcement until someone is traded away?
Volek.....? Kinney.......?

One of the new people, Scott or Savage, I'd guess. Maybe one of the corners, like King, since they picked up Derrick Johnson from SF.

Oh nevermind. We're still so shallow at DE (KVB, LaBoy, Scott, Savage), I'd guess they're safe unless someone clearly better becomes available.

Maybe Orr gets the axe and they go with 6 WR, and they try to get him to the PS.

You guys must miss your exes! I stand by my statement. Teams make moves to keep guys that they really want. Besides, the Titans have a history of letting D-linemen go.

If robaire does return and makes the defense better then I'll admit my mistake....maybe.

First of all, things usually happen for a number of reasons not for just one thing, so lettting Rob go didn´t happen just because we "we didn´t love him" and second if Rob returns and improves the D u won´t admit your mistake any way.....:banned:

I'm lovin' it!
