Oh, and what OL would that be? The one that added a rookie who's a year ½ removed from reconstructive knee surgery? The one with a new C entering his 12th year in the league? Is that the one? Help me, I really don't know...

Sludge I wouldn't be talking about old centers if I were you. By the way you forgot the other rookie on the O-line so I guess you were right. You really don't know.

No, didn't forget about the other rookie. So 2 rookies and a 12-year vet will help cut down the sack total by 20? LMFAO

We brought in Mike Sherman to just improve the line play. We are changing our offensive system to a more QB friendly one. We picked up 2 O-lineman in the draft that were graded top 5 at their position. Flanagin is not the only FA we picked up to work on the line. Not to mention year before last we allowed 30 sacks less than we did last year. So take your blind hate back to Springfield and play with the other Homers. If you knew anything about football, it would help you look less TENNheaded. You should try watching a game or two.

Bravo Overalls. I think it's safe to say that most knowledgeable fans expect to see some solid improvement in the Oline for your team this season.
You guys still should have taken Reggie Bush. But much thanks for not doing so.

so I've got you down for less than 50 sacks and a sweep of the titans, a win against the Jags... was that all? Did you say the Texans were gonna beat the Colts? I just want to get your pre-preseason predictions right.
Overall record?

I guess no one is interested in qb bust possibilities...:suspect:
:bs:
Sledge, Overalls... I think you guys can hash this out well... here's a novel idea... let's try to avoid the thread being moved... also, did you know that any member may create a smack thread... just throwing that out there.

keep dreaming...

I am not from Tennessee

This all sounds nice, was just trying to do a little smack but you took it like a :banned: and had to defend yourself. Don't take it so hard, just take it. I watch games, that's not the issue, the issue is it's about time you woke up and realized you don't win without good lines. I'm not gonna do like some pretenders here who will sympathize with you and act like I wanna be your friend. Lie BioPolar said, this is not the smack board so no more smack here. Go see momma now, it's time for your bath...

Oh please, go join a Texans board...

After looking at that list again, it's crap. I mean how can you tell if Dante is a bust or not? It's about expectations. I don't expect him to play anything like what he is capable of. Will that mean he is a bust? Not to me. I think he's a two year project. Green's too old? He doesn't take many hits. So what. Brunell is older and he quarterbacked a playoff team last year.
Carr will probably have the best year of his career. Brees has a ton of talent on offense, he should be fine. And despite what most "experts" seem to think, Plummer is playing much better with the Broncos.
I would have listed other guys. Like pick a Jets QB, they have nothing going on but the rent. Whoever starts there is in for a long season. And Aaron Brooks. This guy sucks. Randy Moss won't make his decision making any better. JP losman. first rd expectations, fifth rd production.
And Byron Leftwich. Could this guy be any more boring?

Them's my QB bust picks.

yeah, that will cool it out...:ha:

Lie BioPolar? wtf? No one has given a crap about this topic, since... you know what? I'm not sure anyone did to begin with... however, please, if you guys must, please keep it about Carr and O-line.... and Overalls, feel free to drop your predictions topic related or not... Check out this pic I found of Overalls...

I like those bust picks...

I think brees will do fine if bush stays healthy. I assume bush will get signed.

Plummer is over rated and due for a bad year. I don't like him anyway..

If culpepper has a bad year everyone will say that randy moss made him and it will be tough to shake.

Trent green may be in decline and due for a similar year that favre had. Especially if johnson doesn't porduce big. I doubt it though. I think he plays ok but his numbers do drop some.

Bulger could have a bust year. No mike martz, bruce is getting old and faulk is gone. Bulger an average QB has basically benefited from playing indoors with great WRs but now he really needs a good running game from jackson to succeed.

Palmer has that knee injury to deal with and if he had to play without chad johnson for a stretch he might not be so good. Remember this guy was great just one year.

Rothlisberger lost another quality WR for the second straight year and their first rd pick looks like a problem. Let's see how he deals with some adversity and maybe less to work with.

The list that AOL Sports posted was accually put there for fantasy football players. I failed to mention that in my original post, sorry about that.
What they were trying to say was, that the players on their list might be considered by some to be put on their fantasy teams but AOL Sports thinks that they will be busts this year.
I was surprised to see that Volek was not on that list, but then again, why would anyone put Volek on their fantasy team? There are not too many people thinking he will finish this season be it another injury or because of bad performance.
I also noticed that McNair was not mentioned.

I disagree. They have Deuce McAllister and Michael Bennett if Bush doesn't sign or is hurt. They have a nice TE in Zach Hilton, the line is improved despite the loss of Bentley, and with Horn and Stallworth, they have a couple of nice receivers

RollTide said:

He is but yet they keep winning with him in there. Made it to the AFC Championship last year didn't they? I agree he isn't all special, but as a fantasy QB there is worse (Carr, Frye, Smith, Rivers, Volek, etc)

RollTide said:

If he's healthy, he may be a top 3 fantasy QB this year. Miami has 2-3 solid WR, a top 5 TE, an improving line, a young stud RB, and they play on natural grass

I doubt it too. Edwards loves to run so Johnson will get his carries (and subsequent yards). Edwards also loves TE, so Gonzo will see a lot of high % throws, which helps Green. And their OL is all-world, so I doubt he'll even come close to having a bad year.

But I'd take him over Volek. Yes, Bulger benefited from the West Coast offense but did he really have a great running game the last 2 years? I don't think so. They've added a few solid rookie TEs, their line is also looking better with Barron coming on last year, and Jackson is due to break out.

RollTide said:

It was also only his 2nd year as the starter. Palmer is tha man. One can only hope he's really recovered, plus, with those two fine RBs and that WR group, the best this side of the Mississippi (or is it this side of the Mississippi?), if he's healthy, expect another top 3 fantasy QB placement.

Actually, Holmes' incident is isolated, plus Cedrick Wilson came on in the playoffs last year and should at least match Randle-El's production. Plus they have a couple of Randle-El clones in Reid and Washington waiting in the wings, and Staley will take over for Bettis. Don't ever doubt the Steelers, they always find a way
